Position Overview

We seek a talented and motivated individual to serve as our Senior Manager, Platform and Data Security. The ideal candidate will drive security strategy, implementation, and practices to secure our cloud and data platforms. In an organization with a diverse range of products, platforms, services, and capabilities, we are accelerating innovation to make security seamless and straightforward to the thousands of engineers across Autodesk.

As the Senior Manager, Platform and Data Security, you will lead a team of senior-level security engineers and professionals responsible for implementing and executing the business's security strategy. You will collaborate with senior leaders to influence engineering and business decisions to improve security. This role emphasizes design and foresight to define practices while also engaging closely with stakeholders with wide backgrounds. The role also includes our data protection function, which drives data security strategy and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of engineers, including a mix of people managers and individual contributors

  • Partner with key stakeholders throughout Autodesk, including engineers, senior management, product management, and program management

  • Ensure that Autodesk’s security strategy is aligned with the objectives of our platforms, products, and services

  • Design and build security solutions, frameworks, automation, and orchestration to secure cloud and data platforms

  • Drive implementation of the platform and data security capabilities across desktop, APIs, web, cloud, and mobile eco-systems

  • Identify and implement AI/ML security capabilities in our cloud and data platforms

  • Drive and influence platform and data security across the organization

  • Own all elements of people management, including developing and hiring a high-quality team

  • Think ahead and catch problems before they arise

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in a security domain

  • Strong security background, especially in the fields of data and platform security

  • Experience with cloud computing technologies, especially AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure

  • Highly technical with both tactical and strategic capabilities

  • Decision maker with the ability to operate with freedom and autonomy

  • Emphasis on a data-driven, decision-making mindset

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working with distributed teams and other cross-functional stakeholders

  • Highly collaborative in a fast-paced team environment
