Oracle Senior Principal Technical Program Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

With the ongoing expansion of our business, we need a strong Senior Principal Technical Program Manager. This is a high impact role that will lead, oversee, and ensure the successful delivery and management of critical initiatives on the Clinical AI team’s strategic roadmap. The role comes with a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy and will require effective engagement across engineering, science and product management functions . The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to own the planning, scoping and execution of strategic initiatives. They will drive cross-team decision-making, roadmap planning, and initiative implementation focused on measurable impact and must be able to manage the balance between business outcomes and technical delivery at scale.

Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure. This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. The Clinical Digital Assistant and Clinical AI team is a core part of Oracle Health, and is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit. We need your contribution to make it a world class engineering center with the focus on excellence.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for experienced and highly motivated Senior Principal Technical Program Managers to drive change at scale across our infrastructure, lifecycle and managed service teams. The ideal candidate can manage fast paced change enabled by technology while leveraging their proven program and project management capabilities.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to own the planning, scoping and execution of strategic initiatives enabled by technology. They will drive decision-making, roadmap planning, and initiative implementation focused on measurable impact and must be able to manage the balance between business outcomes and technical delivery at scale.

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end leader in charge of the program, from shaping the approach to achieving the desired outcomes through delivery.

  • Define and execute a measurable global program(s) for AI and engineering by challenging the status quo and focusing on best practices

  • Influence, activate, and orchestrate across teams to build alignment and drive results

  • Provide program and project management expertise to complex business initiatives that are global in nature, understanding interdependencies between process, technology, and people needs

  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and ensure that project goals are in line with customer and business objectives

  • Influence, activate, and orchestrate across teams to build alignment and drive results, managing feedback/pain points from our customers and stakeholders

  • Drive and achieve successful change management through industry recognized approaches

  • Identify organization wide issues and work with key stakeholders to drive them to resolution

  • Seek opportunities to bring about ongoing improvement and simplification in business operating procedures and practices leading to improved efficiency and effectiveness

  • Track and manage priorities and committed actions to drive progress and provide actionable insights

Ideal Experience

  • 10+ years of program/project management experience

  • Background in product development focused on cloud services and/or AI

  • Proven ability to create effective relationships, listen, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels.

  • Ability to inspire confidence in senior leaders and motivate global team members

  • Leading and managing a can-do attitude through continual change, ambiguity; able to identify systemic approaches to solving problems

  • Excellent communication skills including high quality written communications and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple way

  • Outstanding cross-group collaboration skills and proven ability to partner across teams

  • Proactive, forward-thinking, and strategic, yet pragmatic and technically savvy, with the ability to synthesize disparate information effectively and quickly into clear recommendations, actions, and decisions

  • Program/project management certifications or qualifications with proven ability to deliver complex programs

  • Strong business acumen and with ability to apply that knowledge to inform the best approaches that balance priorities, speed of execution, and cost

  • Demonstrated ability to think from a business/outcome perspective and translate that into executable delivery and clear accountabilities

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $104,000 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
