We are looking for an experienced product manager who would like to be part of our mission.
In this role, as a Product Management Senior Manager in the Analytics team, you’ll help shape strategy for how we invest in exploratory analysis and authoring, creating new and innovative experiences for how people understand their data and share insights. Interactive analytical exploration is at the core of Tableau’s magic, and you will have an opportunity to help lead the evolution of the product that is continuously redefining the data and analytics industry. You will own defining key data metrics we use to measure success and the instrumentation behind it. You will own scoping and delivering key pieces of our core analytics product. You will network across many teams to influence roadmaps and partner on initiatives. You will work closely with customers and partners to understand their use cases and find creative solutions to make them successful.
Some of your responsibilities include…
Contribute to vision, strategy and roadmap for the exploratory analysis product in the context of the overall product vision.
Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of your work and the broader exploratory analysis product. Take a data-driven approach to feature design and planning.
Work closely with customers to understand their needs in depth; work with engineering teams to translate those needs into clear prioritized requirements, build a compelling roadmap, deliver high-impact and innovative features.
Communicate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across various internal teams and disciplines such, engineering, design, and user research.
Present Tableau product capabilities, value propositions, potential future functionality, and roadmaps to customers and the Tableau sales team
Collaborating with product marketing on positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
Be the trusted advisor during customer interactions, events, and through social media.
Be a champion of performance, security, accessibility objectives.

Experienced. You have extensive experience in product management, with large SaaS-based products. Ideal candidates have experience with data and analytics products, with a specific focus on serving data analysts.
Data-driven. You know how to use data to inform your understanding and turn it into action and decisions.
Customer-focused. You love speaking with customers and learning more about their use cases and you can translate customer needs into product enhancements.
Strategic. You consider your features in the context of the overall strategy. You wrangle comfortably with the discomfort of making decisions and having discussions in the absence of complete informationAn Evangelist. You are comfortable presenting priorities to internal stakeholders, customers, and partners.
Self-starter. You are intrinsically motivated and gifted at driving projects from start to finish.
Technically Savvy. You love software and understand the joys and challenges of the complex building process.
Flexible. You are comfortable with open-space problems, where part of the challenge is framing up new challenges for a team excited to tackle them.
Team Player. You enjoy collaborating with, learning from, and teaching other folks from multiple disciplines. You’re comfortable with ambiguous and rapidly changing projects.
Thorough. Even in the early phases of a project, you help teams eliminate uncertainties enough that they can proceed with building or studying.
Communicator. You have an innate ability to communicate both business and technical topics to diverse audiences.
Intellectually Curious. You seek to continuously expand your areas of expertise, learn new ways to do things, and understand why things are the way they are.
Data Enthusiast. You have a strong desire to help people see and understand data. You believe in Tableau’s mission and are excited to play a part in it.
Educated. You have at least a bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent) in computer science or another relevant field.
