Microsoft Corporation Senior Program Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Microsoft 365 (M365) continues to be a significant driver of Microsoft’s success across the commercial landscape. The FastTrack service offerings help customers successfully deploy and drive user adoption of M365 solutions. When customers purchase eligible M365 licenses, the FastTrack benefit is included at no additional cost for the life of their subscriptions. The FastTrack team helps customers enable more effective teamwork, migrate data, and protect their organizations from cybersecurity threats and keep devices and apps up to date.

Within the broader FastTrack framework, the FastTrack Ready Partner (FRP) program ( https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/partners/fasttrack ) drives high-touch engagement with select partners to deliver the FastTrack benefit and value-added services to M365 customers. These partners are eligible to earn a variety of usage-based incentives for assisting customers. The FRP program motion enables scale and increased velocity to business goals through a robust, mutually beneficial ecosystem of Microsoft FastTrack, FRPs and customers.

The Modern Work Partner Experience (MWPX) team is responsible for managing specialty and pilot partner programs focused on M365 and Modern Work business priorities including FastTrack Ready Partner (FRP). We are adding a Program Manager to our team to lead the Incentive Operations (IO) function.

Responsibilities

As a Program Manager in the MWPX-IO team you will:

  • Be the primary POC for stakeholders of incentive programs managed through the MWPX incentive platform.

  • Be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of the statement generation and incentive payment process for incentives managed by MWPX.

  • Collaborate with Development, Data and Tools teams to deliver required system functionality and to execute monthly incentive process.

  • Collaborate with systems development team to provide UAT for all system and tool changes.

  • Be an SME for:

  • incentive operations terms and conditions, process, tooling and platform, telemetry and data

  • Incentive models and eligibility and best practices

  • New and existing incentive projects Ensure partner education and documentation is created and maintained for all managed incentive programs.

  • Provide day to day management of, and training for, the Incentive Ops coordinator team.

  • Create and implement policies for incentive related partner escalations.

  • Be a primary contributor of incentive platform and reporting design requirements along with MWPX Tools and Data team.

  • Work across organizations (OSU, PMG, M365) to ensure alignment of process and policy for partner incentives programs.

  • Work with finance to ensure correct accounting of distributed incentives.

  • Understand and ensure adherence to Microsoft privacy, security and fiscal compliance policies.

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of program business priorities in order to advise on incentive design and implementation.

  • Lead planning efforts for all facets of incentives-related projects working with program sponsor and others as required.

  • Manage the IO backlog effectively prioritizing and delivering work items based on submissions including but not limited to:

  • Incidents/bugs

  • Partner feedback

  • Internal feedback

  • Ongoing maintenance/operations

  • Seek out and deliver continuous improvements to the systems and processes used to deliver partner incentives including but not limited to:

  • Incentive calculation and statement platform design

  • Incentive and statement distribution tools and policies

  • Reporting, internal and external, of incentive operations metrics, partner earnings and program impacts

  • Partner incentive escalations process and policies

Qualifications

You have a combination of technical and business skills that enable you to work comfortably with business sponsors, data teams, platform development and Microsoft partners. You have a passion for driving customer (partner) delight. You implement solutions that are simple, scalable, and sustainable. You have managed and delivered projects with various teams in matrixed organizations, while influencing business, engineering, and operations teams not directly within your span of control to deliver effective solutions.

You do the above with aplomb but with a measure of humility, recognizing that you do not always know it all. You are a team player and recognize healthy team dynamics as a pre-requisite to successful business outcomes. You do not hesitate to roll up your sleeves and help the team…no task is beneath you.

You are familiar with Microsoft’s partner ecosystem and ideally have experience with FRP and other Microsoft partner programs.

Core Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in program or projectmanagement,leading complex initiatives

  • Comfortable with ambiguity while being able to create clarity for your team to achieve results.

  • Self-starter with the ability to own and drive projects/efforts with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to negotiate with and influence other internal organizations to drive for a shared goal.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into development requirements.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience managing customer or partner support function.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the FastTrack program and FastTrack approach and be able to articulate the value of FastTrack.

  • Experience in working directly with partner organizations in the delivery of Microsoft cloud services.

  • Microsoft partner incentive program experience

  • Microsoft financial and privacy compliance experience

  • Ability to analyze and validate M365 telemetry data
