How will you make an impact?
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior/Lead Analog Design Engineer to work with an industry-leading integrated circuit design team. As a key member of this team, you'll directly influence and develop cutting edge chip products for multiple genomic sequencing markets.
What will you do?
Utilize a broad range of design skills, including significant analog transistor level design experience, to develop and support our current and future semiconductor sequencing chip products.
Partner with internal and external teams to lead the design of critical analog design blocks for genomic sequencing chips and IP.
Assist to drive overall chip definition with significant architectural influence and decision making.
Collaboration with Product and Systems Engineering, as well as Manufacturing Support, Surface Chemistry, and Biology teams will be necessary to define and develop the right product as well as provide post-silicon support, including chip bring-up and characterization.
This position requires a results-oriented team member with a focus on both achieving the product technical requirements and target time-to-market.
How will you get here?
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar). Masters or PhD degree preferred.
More than 10 years of industry experience with the design of phase-locked loop (PLL) blocks and high-speed serializer-deserializer (SERDES) blocks.
Practical experience of top-level analog simulation and full-chip verification.
Proven track record and hands-on experience of enabling analog blocks in mass production (multiple tape-outs).
Using already-established expertise, provide analog design leadership, technical mentorship and guidance to team members.
Modeling and scripting capability to speed up simulations and make efficient use of software licenses.
Independent debug and optimization of design software and kits.
Prior experience with large CMOS sensor array chips is a plus.

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) - be a proactive and humble listener, able to receive, process, and act upon feedback from team members.
Low-speed and high-speed analog design and verification expertise.
Expert/proficient with industry-standard Cadence analog design and verification tools.
