IBM Service Line Representative - Resiliency Services in Boston, Massachusetts

The IBM Resiliency Services Service Line Representative (SLR) assumes both new business (new client acquisition) and account ownership responsibilities for existing Resiliency Services clients. One must possess demonstrated technical skills in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Availability/Resiliency Strategies as well as working knowledge of other IBM services portfolio offerings. A thorough understanding of IT infrastructure technologies and solutions (i.e., level 1 skill sets in IT Solutions) is a must. One must understand the competitive landscape and be able to develop appropriate sales strategies to win. The IBM Resiliency Services Service Line Representative must convey subject matter expertise and credibility in working with customers and internal IBM Opportunity Identifiers and extended IBM team members. One will need to apply sales skills to engage and close opportunities with key decision makers and ensure smooth transitions from the sales phase to the delivery phase (ie hand-off from sales team to implementation team).
This is partly a new business/business development role. We are looking for a true "Hunter" sales professional that understands how to cultivate new business and how to manage a territory to win net new Resiliency Services clients in IBM's largest client set while being adept at maintaining high levels of client satisfaction with existing customers. The seller must be able to manage existing, large, complex clients and expand the Resiliency Services business volumes with those clients as well.
Candidates can be located anywhere in the US but given this is a national Aero, Auto, and Electronics territory, living in the Central United States would be more convenient for nationwide travel to both coasts. Greater than 50% travel would be required on many weeks.
Preferred Location - Open to all National candidates but prefer Central U.S. candidates.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Basic knowledge of multi-vendor IT Infrastructure Solutions and/or Cloud Solutions Sales (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM Cloud, etc.)
At least 3 years of experience in Solution/Managed Services Sales
At least 1 of year experience in Resiliency Services, Disaster Recovery, and Availability Solutions Sales
Readiness to travel 50% annually
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
At least 5 years of experience in multi-vendor IT Infrastructure Solutions and/or Cloud Solutions Sales (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM Cloud, etc.)
At least 5 years of experience in Solution/Managed Services Sales
At least 3 years of experience in Resiliency Services, Disaster Recovery, and Availability Solutions Sales
At least 3 years of experience in Consultative Sales Methodologies and Strategies
At least 5 years of experience in Executive Relationship Management
