Job Summary:

Americas Assurance Technology Enablement team is an internal service line business product ownership group that address business enablement technology needs for the Americas Assurance practice, including its sub-service lines (Audit, Forensics, FAAS, CCaSS) and business functions (Professional Practice, Quality, Digital, Finance, Talent) in all Americas countries. The Americas Assurance Technology Enablement team reports to the Americas Assurance Deputy Vice Chair and collaborates closely with Americas Assurance business unit leaders such as Americas Assurance Professional Practice Leader, Americas Assurance Director of Quality Implementation, Americas Assurance Digital Leader, Americas Assurance Talent Leader and many others.

Americas Assurance practice has embarked on the digital transformation journey for its business enablement functions with the initial focus on Risk Management (RM) and Quality Implementation (QI) processes. The centerpiece of the transformation is the development of the Assurance Data Warehouse (ADW) that will assimilate key data needed for risk identification and critical business decision making. Connected to the ADW will be a suite of interrelated applications that synchronize various business processes and data to provide smart analytics, decision enablement, and review/approval features. The function of the role will be to work with the RM and QI business stakeholders to design and implement a comprehensive vision – technology functionality and data flow that will connect currently siloed applications into an integrated ecosystem that allows for timely risk identification, assists in decision making and provides for compliance with rigorous regulatory and internal EY quality standards for the various processes. This role will also work with Experience Management (EM) function to help define its technology strategy as it’s interconnected with Risk Management and Quality.

As a RM/QI Technology Portfolio Leader, you will report to the Americas Assurance Technology Enablement Leader (Director). You will work with the Americas Assurance Director of Quality Implementation, the Americas Assurance Quality Network and EM leader to co-develop business requirements for the integrated technology and data solution set. Your will coordinate and oversee the work of other Product Managers to align their individual product roadmaps to the portfolio vision and to help them in the design, testing, implementation and support of technology solutions within the portfolio.

You will be responsible for overseeing high and moderate complexity technology programs, working with highest levels of Americas and Global Assurance, EY Technology, GDS and other EY leaders, and coordinating, coaching and mentoring other Product Managers on the team.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Possess strong understanding of the firm’s audit approach and key Quality Implementation, Risk Management and Experience Management processes to drive technology solution roadmaps in support of these processes

  • Track RM and QI portfolio progress towards long-term vision, co-developed success metrics, and FY plans and proactively communicate and manage expectations with Technology Enablement Leader, business stakeholders and service providers

  • Oversee the delivery of high and medium complexity interrelated technology programs, including new technology/processes and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Oversee other Product Managers in product design, testing, deployment, implementation, and ongoing operations of technology products. This may include, but is not limited to overseeing creation of solution vision and design documentation, test plans, business user testing plans/materials, awareness communications, launch kits, stakeholder decks, launch webcasts, support models and product reporting

  • Translate complex business issues to technical audience and recommend courses of action

  • Guide other Product Managers in the development of quality risk, process and control documentation

  • Serve as an escalation point for stakeholders and working with Product Managers and solution providers to resolve issues

  • Efficiently navigate the layers of the matrix organization to resolve questions and issues

  • Develop networks, foster and manage relationships with sponsors, vendors and team members by earning their respect and demonstrating ability to persuade with facts, logic, enthusiasm and a proven track record

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Receives strategic level supervision from Technology Enablement Leader and key stakeholders

  • Collaborates and directs Product Managers on the team to align product vision and plans

  • Collaborates and provides guidance to IT Services, GDS, and other service providers

Other Requirements:

  • Working hours, flexible work arrangements and time off may be limited during specific times or deadlines

  • Extended hours, as needed to meet deadlines

  • May require occasional travel, both domestic and international

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • 7 or more years of experience in EY Assurance practice or quality/risk management function

Certification Requirements:

CPA is a plus
