GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the planning, analysis, and upgrades for an existing enterprise global SharePoint 2013 platform. The Administrator will also manage the platform, adding accounts, users and user access, training new users (internal and external), as well as troubleshooting end user issues. Finally, the Administrator will curate best practice artifacts from content submitted by sales and delivery personnel.

Requires in-depth knowledge of SharePoint as well as the ability to drive business requirements for future releases, problem solve and architect new solutions, working with a SharePoint development team. This position does not require software development experience.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project manage all new and evolving requirements from the current SharePoint (2013) version 1.0 platform, to include:

  • Additional requirements gathering and functionalities

  • Project planning

  • Clarifying requirements with SharePoint development team in Bangalore, India

  • Updating stakeholders

  • Updating system documentation

  • Driving requirements and milestones

  • Administer SharePoint platform, adding accounts, users and user privileges

  • Curate best practice artifacts

  • Work with stakeholders to define and document business and systems requirements for new technology deployments and account-specific best practices

  • Be part of a governance board to drive new requirements for platform enhancements

  • Support business objectives and ensure alignment with existing and new solutions

  • Work with various business operations to implement new enhancements from the analysis to implementation phases, while ensuring that thorough testing occurs

  • Benchmark, analyze, and make recommendations with supporting data for the improvement and growth of the environment

  • Ensure content documentation is thorough and kept up to date (best in class, archive, graphics libraries)

  • Stay current with the latest technologies and be ready to discuss with stakeholders/governance board

  • Provide on call support as needed, to troubleshoot end user issues

  • Must be self-driven, and be able to work independently

  • Ability to troubleshoot end user issues

  • Train new users and account administrators

  • Permission administration – adding/removing users to groups

  • Adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy

SKILLS

  • SharePoint administration; adding account, users, privileges

  • Knowledge of SharePoint functionalities to help drive business automation, integration of other sales practices, and overall efficiencies

  • Strong sense of customer/solution ownership, an overall drive for excellence, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects to successful completion

  • Strong analytics and troubleshooting of SharePoint platform issues

  • Ability to effectively execute multiple, complex tasks with attention to detail

  • Problem resolution

  • Ability to search for the best-in-class of platform artifacts, pre-sales and delivery

  • Superior customer service and communication skills along with ability to drive productive team collaboration

  • Self-driven with the aptitude to work independently

  • Ability to travel globally

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Requires a BA/BS in related field, such as marketing, sales support, or knowledge management platform (relevant work experience may substitute for required education)

  • 6+ years’ experience supporting, troubleshooting, and administering a variety of application platforms

  • SharePoint administration or SharePoint power user experience

  • Understanding of Microsoft Project best practices, highly desirable
