Intel Silicon Design Researcher in Boston, Massachusetts
Neuromorphic Computing Lab's silicon team is looking for a talented silicon researcher with hands-on experiences spanning architecture to design automation. This team applies novel design methodologies to implement neural-inspired neuromorphic research chips while also developing state-of-the-art design/validation tool flows for self-timed/asynchronous designs. With a wide portfolio focused on silicon prototyping, you will participate in many aspects of chip development, from front-end design to design automation. You will use and develop a variety of ASIC tool flows to architect, analyze and eventually help transfer the teams' research to Intel products through BU partners.
You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences
The candidate must possess a Master’s degree or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical & Computer Engineering
8 + years of experience in below areas:
Hands-on design and/or SW experience.
Verilog or other high-level HDLs (e.g. SystemC, Chisel, CAST).
Strong understanding of all levels of hardware design, from silicon architecture to system design.
History of direct ownership of at least one broad engineering area like micro-architecture, design automation, application software development, etc... in a PRQed product.
Familiarity with machine learning, applied math, design modeling, or scientific computing.
Prior experience in design automation or software development using object-oriented programming languages like Java or C++.
Prior experience in asynchronous architectures and circuits.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $156,410.00-$250,410.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
