Fiserv Software Architect, Advisory (DNA) in Boston, Massachusetts

Position Description

What does a great Software Architect, Advisory do?

The DNA Deposits team within Open Solutions / Fiserv is looking to add a software architect to our team working on the DNA platform. As a Software Architect, Advisory, you will be a DNA® Subject Matter Expert and system advocate. You will support and enhance products by assisting in, creating, and validating designs for new software applications and enhancing existing software applications. You will implement software code changes to meet new business requirements and to conform to regulatory requirements.   • Work on projects independently and lead other developers within technical aspects of a project

  • Work with other areas of our Development Staff to design, develop and complete projects within deadlines.

  • You will discuss functional and technical issues with Business Analysts and other Architects.

  • Additionally, your focus will be on performance within DNA, helping the team test performance and implement proper principles to avoid non-performant designs

  • Escalate Risks/Issues in Projects as soon as you observe them.

  • Assist with identifying and solving priority issues

Basic Qualifications for Consideration :

  • BS/BA degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • At least eight years of programming experience including hands on code development experinece using PL/SQL and C# .NET

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Five years of DNA® experience preferred

  • Experience with Relational Databases and ERA (Extended Relational Analysis) methods.

  • Experience leading other developers

  • A self-directed and highly motivated work ethic

  • Willingness to work on new and existing products.

  • Proven research and analytical skills.

  • The ability to review and critique code technical requirements and design specification documents and provide guidance for adjustments.

  • Demonstrates solid ability to model and translate business requirement to a database architecture and design.

  • Responsible for the code quality resulting in an excellent customer experience.

  • Ability to guide other DNA® functional areas, inside and outside of Development.

  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in independent as well as team environments
