It is a cross-functional leadership role that requires evangelization of compliance best practices, alignment building, and communication across the broader engineering organization, as well as strong (hands-on) coding.

Responsibilities:

  • Define processes and implement tooling to support the enforcement of policy and compliance requirements.

  • Lead architecture and implementation of tooling for early detection and remediation of security and license compliance-related issues.

  • Early engagement and technical advisory/consultancy on new (acquisitions) products.

  • Mentor team members to build core competencies in architecture, standards development, and recommended practices.

Required Skills:

  • BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

  • 10+ years of Java/JavaScript development experience.

  • Experience with third-party software (open-source and commercial) license and regulatory compliance tooling such as Sonatype, Snyk, FossID, or Blackduck.

  • Experience working on large-scale distribution systems where solutions must work for thousands of nodes.

  • Experience with continuous integration platforms such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, Gitlab CI, etc.

  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS and GKE), Docker, and Terraform.

  • Experience with microservices design and implementation.

  • You’re collaborative and team-oriented, willing and able to support a growing and dynamic development team.

  • You value and take responsibility for the quality of your features, including writing your own unit tests and reviewing your teammates’ code.

  • Innovator with good ideas, strong problem-solving abilities, and a results-oriented attitude.

  • Ability to learn quickly and deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced, dynamic agile team environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of CDN (Akamai, Fastly, Cloudflare, etc.) and caching technologies (ElasticCache, Redis, Varnish, etc.).

  • Experience with repository/artifact management (Artifactory, Nexus, etc.).
