Preferred Qualifications

Oracle Communications Global Business Units' Session Delivery Architecture team is responsible for investigation, analysis, and implementation of new capabilities for SaaS applications.

The Architecture team responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working directly with Product Owners to generate product requirements

  • Investigate and drive adoption of new technologies for both product functionality and performance

  • Interact directly with development teams for implementation, training, and troubleshooting

  • Collaborate with other service groups to incorporate existing design solutions

  • Track and understand new cloud technologies in order to incorporate them in existing or new products

Description:

We are seeking a cloud software architect to drive new SaaS solutions for communications and networking products. You will work with multiple SaaS teams in the Communications GBU, applying your knowledge of software architecture to design and define requirements for cloud-native systems and to assist software development teams with implementation of those designs. Tasks are normally associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications. You will sometimes work as a team lead with cross-functional members.

Job requirements/skills:

  • BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent

  • 7 years of software engineering experience with proven results in designing, implementing and maintaining complex systems and services

  • Solid understanding of cloud-native networking architecture

  • Strong communications skills and ability to present to development teams, peer architects, and senior management

  • Proficient in distributed systems and cloud implementations with proven track record in Performance, Scalability and Resiliency

  • Comfortable in CI/CD and DevOps work styles

  • Experienced with SDLC/Agile/Scrum processes

  • Oracle database, MySQL knowledge/experience

  • Experience with Spring Boot/Spring Cloud

  • RESTful API development & micro-services

  • Linux/Unix development (Oracle Linux preferred)

  • Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Issue tracking and collaboration (Jira and Confluence)

  • Desire to work in a hands-on, fast-paced and challenging environment.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
