Our journey is just beginning, come join us.As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in Horizon, you'll ensure the delivery of world-class product quality for our software platform. In this role, you will be designing and implementing scalable test and automation solutions from the ground up utilizing Facebook’s state of the art infrastructure and device labs. You will enable other engineering teams in Horizon to take control of their own product quality. The right candidate will be meticulous about software quality, champion developer efficiency, and have a demonstrated proficiency in building test automation frameworks and tooling.
Design, build, and maintain test automation solutions that are robust and scalable
Enable and drive engineering teams to build automation at scale
Implement better engineering solutions to increase automation code effectiveness and framework flexibility to enable cross-functional teams’ automation needs
Create prototypes and work with cross-functional partners for new innovative automation methodologies and technologies
Be the advocate for testability, drive best engineering practices and defect prevention
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of relevant experience in automation development
Familiar with various tools or infrastructure used in automation
Experience in Python/C++/Java development
Collaboration experience with cross-functional teams to define automation solution for new features
Experience multi-tasking and adapting to change
Experience with VR, 3D, game development, and content production
Experience building automation solutions for consumer electronics products
Proficient understanding of automation methodologies and practice
