Amazon Web Services Software Development Manager - AWS Migration Services in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

AWS Migration Services is looking for a dynamic Engineering Leader who is entrepreneurial, a team builder, and passionate about aligning technology strategy to business opportunities. We are accelerating our customers’ journey from on-premises computing to running their businesses on AWS and looking for an engineering leader that will enthusiastically drive innovation. Our teams build and operate services across the cloud migration journey including on-premises discovery, assessment, mobilization, and migration into AWS. Once in AWS, our services help customers refactor, rewrite, and rearchitect applications to maximize opportunities to take full advantage of cloud computing. Today, only a small portion of IT investment happens in the cloud. Customers are missing out on improved resiliency, cost reduction, and agility benefits they could have. Come join the team that’s helping change this through new innovations!

At Amazon, delivering reliable and high-performance services at AWS scale requires engineering leaders that are passionate about building scalable teams and services. As a senior engineering manager in this office, you drive the creation and empowerment of autonomous teams that deliver customer capabilities iteratively with repeatable success. You will build teams with deep customer and engineering focus at the core of their culture. The teams you build will drive best practices and deliver operational excellence in security, scalability, stability, and cost-effectiveness.

What does it take to thrive in this role?

You need to be excited about taking ownership and accountability for creating customer outcomes through your impact on teams, technology, and your organization. You are energized by collaboration on product and technology strategy, and able to quickly transform ideas into working software through your teams. You are exemplary in creating architectures and services that can evolve over time improving the ability to deliver new features and accelerate delivery without compromise to operational excellence and quality. The right candidate is engaged in thinking lean, using data to drive decisions, and embraces technical ambiguity and complexity.
