AWS Migration Services is looking for a dynamic Engineering Leader who is entrepreneurial, a team builder, and passionate about aligning technology strategy to business opportunities. We are accelerating our customers’ journey from on-premises computing to running their businesses on AWS and looking for an engineering leader that will enthusiastically drive innovation. Our teams build and operate services across the cloud migration journey including on-premises discovery, assessment, mobilization, and migration into AWS. Once in AWS, our services help customers refactor, rewrite, and rearchitect applications to maximize opportunities to take full advantage of cloud computing. · BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
· 7 years experience in commercial or web-scale system software development and delivery
· 5+ years experience building, leading, managing, and mentoring high-performance teams
· 5+ years' experience in network, distributed, asynchronous, and concurrent programming
· Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development
· Deep understanding of scalable computing systems, architectures, data structures, and algorithms
· Working knowledge of scale-out distributed microservices architectures
· Familiarity with building secure software using modern security principles
· Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
· Experience developing a product and technology vision
