Your Role and Responsibilities
Data Domain Modeling and Logical Modeling; Data Profiling and Quality Assessment
Creating Data Flow Diagram, optimal design and integration with app design and flow
Designing optimal schema, partitions and indexing for relational and NoSQL storage variations (Columnar, Key-value pair, Object/Document (JSON)) based on situation
Designing Event Stream and Schema (JSON)
Experience with designing data systems with TBs of throughput
Helping App Engineer with design of data heavy processes
Overall ownership for the data architecture and detail design of the cloud event hub, message queue, micro-services, and application processing in addition to S3 bucket structure, data schemas, and user application schema. (e.g. EMR workload)
o Exposure to app. development with Java, Python/pySpark, Scala languages
o Logical and Physical Modeling for Relational and NoSQL schemas
o Experience with AWS Cloud
o Experience with various data storage technologies on cloud – S3 Buckets, Glacier, DynamoDB, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis and relational DBs
o Experience with Kafka and Hadoop Ecosystem (particularly, Spark and Spark Streaming)
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 5 years working with Cloud Native App and Data Storage
At least 5 years working with Event Bus (e.g., Kafka) and Hadoop Ecosystem
At Least 8 years with Logical and Physical modeling and implementation of Relational and non-Relational data schemas
At least 5 years working with optimizing data schema tuning and query tuning to optimize performance – on Relational and non-Relational DB
At least 5 years designing and optimizing data heavy batch processes and micro-apps
At least 3 years designing an optimizing object storage (e.g., S3) on cloud
At least 3 years of experience as Data Lead on complex engagements mentoring junior engineers and dcumeting design and architectural decisions
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 3 years of experience on AWS
At least 3 years of experience with DynamoDB, Cassandra, MongoDB and Redis, in addition to MS SQL Server, mySQL or DB2
At least 5 years of experience in Agile Delivery
