Oracle Sr. Director, Dev Tools in Boston, Massachusetts
As a part of this position, your responsibilities will include providing visionary leadership to develop and execute the developer platform strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall business goals and objectives. You will be accountable for the architecture and design of internal and external developer tools, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial to maintaining adherence to best practices and industry standards. You will work with other product and platform engineering teams within Oracle to define product strategy, technology roadmaps, align timelines, and resolve conflicts.
Minimum 7 years of experience managing software engineering teams, including large-scale organizations.
Minimum 10 years of experience in designing, delivering, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
Prior experience in owning and managing SaaS/IaaS services.
Experience working directly with clients and/or third-party partners.
Demonstrated success in leading medium- to large-scale cross-organizational initiatives.
Strong background in software engineering, including web service technologies such as APIs, REST, and HTTP.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in easily understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with third-party SDKs, Developer Platforms, and IAM (Identity and Access Management).
Experience or knowledge of build systems, back-end service development and cloud platforms.
Proficiency with DevOps principles and tools, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, infrastructure automation, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience in designing, managing, and maintaining developer tools for large scale organizations.
Certain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates.

Hiring Range: from $142,900 to $338,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
