Our Enterprise Data Analytics Platform is designed to explore and extract insights that our customers depend upon. Being the primary source for analytics, our customers both internal and external depend upon us to provide accurate, real-time, and fault tolerant solutions to their ever growing data needs.

The Enterprise Data Analytics Platform builds highly performant scalable analytics solutions varying from data storage systems to computation and serving solutions. We utilize a plethora of open source and industry accepted technologies for our big data problems such as Apache Spark, Apache Storm, Amazon Web services, and Apache Kafka.

We are looking for skilled full stack engineers with an eye for building and optimizing distributed systems to join our team. From data ingestion, processing and storage, data management, to serving and scale, we work closely with other engineers and product management to build consistent and highly available systems that tackle real world data and scale problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in full stack development leveraging technologies such as J2EE, REST Web Services, Spring MVC, HTML, XML, CSS, JQuery, Dojo, JavaScript, Hibernate, SQL, and others.Experience in Financial/Ins Developing front end website architecture.

  • Designing user interactions on web pages.

  • Developing back end website applications.

  • Designing and developing APIs.

  • Creating servers and databases for functionality.

  • Meeting both technical and consumer needs.

  • Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.

  • Enhance and maintain our current applications from the standpoint of performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Actively participate in ongoing new feature/architecture designs and product enhancements.

  • Quickly learn complex concepts and use your extensive experience and knowledge to recognize areas for improvements.

  • Actively participate in the effort of defining development best practices, facilitate code reviews and process improvements.

  • Writes code and unit tests, works on specs, automation, and conducts code reviews and testing.

  • Identifies continuous improvements for service availability.

  • Collaborates with other peer organizations (e.g., Software Engineer, Business Analyst, Data Modeler, QA, SRE, technical support, etc.) to prevent and resolve technical issues and provide technical guidance.

  • Work in Agile development environment. Attend daily stand-up meetings, collaborate with your peers, prioritize features, and work with a sense of urgency to deliver value to your customers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

  • 5 years of experience with full stack development, including application, API, testing, and automation

  • Experience using at least one of the following languages – Java, Scala, Python.

  • Experience designing and building REST API services using modern frameworks and technologies with passion for building high performing, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.

  • Experience with open source web application frameworks (Node.js / Play etc.)

  • Experience working in high-paced Agile environment.

  • Understanding of Object Oriented concepts, web application development best practices, design patterns, and frameworks.

  • Experience working with cloud services like Azure, AWS or Google cloud.

  • Experience with source control systems.

  • SQL for database schema design in relational database and Columnar Database, NoSQL technologies

  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master Degree in Computer Science.

  • Detail oriented and thorough in interpreting requirements.

  • 8+ years of development experience with full stack development, including application, API, testing, and automation

  • Experience using at least one of the following languages –Java, Scala, Python.

  • Advanced Database design and administration.

  • Strong knowledge of database fundamentals.

  • Experience architecting and implementing reliable, performance, high-scale web applications and distributed systems

  • Ability to drive change through persuasion and consensus.

  • Experience in Financial/Insurance industrial.

  • Able to work individually and as part of a diverse team.

  • Capable of mentoring junior developers.

  • Knowledge of open source/industry standard data processing, storage, and serving technologies.

  • Experience with concepts and tools for performance tuning and optimization, memory analysis and troubleshooting

  • Must be able to quickly grasp the platform/application overarching design and ensure development is executed in accordance with the present design
