Sr. Implementation Manager, Omnicell One

About the role:

Omnicell One is a cloud platform, technology-enabled service providing targeted insights into health systems pharmacy medication management. In this role you will serve as the focal point of the customer experience providing knowledge and credibility about the onboarding process. You will demonstrate strong knowledge of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution delivery processes and will be comfortable leading IT and IT Security discussions related to the implementation needs. You are detail-oriented, have excellent prioritization and time management skills and are a collaborative team player dedicated to continuous improvement.


  • Own and deliver the successful customer onboarding experience for customers

  • Take ownership of the client onboarding experience by strategizing/coordinating with the customer and internal stakeholders

  • Establish project scope, plan, dependencies, and timelines for launch, incorporating the different work streams, e.g. change management, integrations, and project phases

  • Develop and maintain project documentation including project charter, project plan, status reports, budget, and issue/risk logs etc., consistent with prescribed methodology, templates, and standards

  • Schedule and conduct discussions with customer IT for IdP setup and IT Security to receive IT project support as well as IT Security approval

  • Influence change within customers to drive adoption of best practices and successful implementation, deriving optimal value and utilization of the product

  • Predict and forecast risk, and problem solve by working independently as well as collaboratively with internal and customer stakeholders

  • Responsible for weekly status reporting on project health and risks, escalating issues to management awareness as necessary

  • Meet and exceed quarterly targets or other targets defined by the business

  • Close to go live, lead the implementation handover to Customer Success and Support

  • Perform all project closure requirements

  • Assist with pre-contracting sales requests and perspective customer calls as needed

  • Demonstrate deep product knowledge of system architecture, use and available features.

  • Fully understand nuances of pharmacy product integration in a healthcare environment

  • Engage with customer as the product expert with a full understanding of the software, data inputs, configuration and feature implementation providing the foundation for the customer to achieve their anticipated product ROI

  • Continually expand knowledge of Omnicell products and develop and contribute to Best Practice Guides

  • Act as a team leader contributing to the development of other team members

  • Contribute to cross-functional continuous improvement objectives

  • Demonstrate analytical skills and product knowledge to research complex issues. Provide issues and appropriate feedback (root cause, customer implication, customer response) to product core team.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Solid understanding of medication procurement/distribution processes in a health care setting and knows how to lead pharmacy workflow discussions.

  • Solid understanding of analytics and a strong informatics background.

  • 5 years of progressive experience in project management of enterprise SaaS implementations or related work (either with a vendor on behalf of a client or managing internal projects to implement major new systems)

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, able to plan and lead structured meetings.

  • Excellent problem solving, organization, and time management skills.

  • Exceptional project management skills and knowledge of change management processes

  • Healthcare industry knowledge

  • Knowledge of health care organizations IT Security and IT PMO common practices

  • PC skills with strong Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SQL capabilities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree

  • 5+ years of project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters or Advanced Degree

  • Project Management (PMP) certification

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification

  • Working knowledge of pharmacy operations

  • 5+ years of experience implementing SaaS in the healthcare field

Work Conditions:

  • 35% domestic travel, have own transportation and occasional availability during off hours may be required.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk/pace; use hands to handle equipment or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
