VMware Sr. Manager, Direct Access Team - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Boston, Massachusetts

As the Senior Manager, you will be leading a global team that partners closely with all HR COEs’, IT partners and Experience Designers to execute against key strategic initiatives, programs and priorities.

The Outcomes You’ll be Responsible for:

Leadership and Partnerships:

  • Inspire, lead and grow a global Team of project managers and technical consultants.

  • Establish relationships with different teams in HR and cross-functionally with IT, Corporate Communications, and other BU’s.

  • Collaborate globally with teams across regions as needed to foster a ONE VMW enterprise mindset.

Strategy and Product:

  • Create a strategic roadmap and execution plan aligned to value creation and VMWare’s strategic priorities and Future of Work initiatives.

  • Partner closely with HR Source (Tier 1 support) to identify and implement experiences for more robust self-service access to information.

  • Partner closely with IT and influence the internal technology roadmap to build and enhance HR Direct Access solutions, while helping HR adopt cutting-edge technology-based means of providing omni-channel self-service options for our employees.

  • Champion HR Source’s Chatbot journey to enhance the Employee and Advisor experience.

  • Drive ideation for new ways or concepts to offer Direct Access to our employees or HR COEs.

  • Deliver customer back and data-driven continuous improvements to existing ways of working and the Direct Access portfolio

Governance and Risk:

  • Manage and enhance deployment mechanisms including delivery SLAs and governance programs.

  • Hold COE Stakeholder groups accountable through continuous measurement via monthly scorecards on web reporting and analytics for direct access content.

  • Reduce program risks and escalations while removing hurdles for the team.

What you Bring:

  • Bachelors in Technology or Masters degree in relevant fields

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience with at least 5+ years progressive experience of building, inspiring and leading high performing teams

  • Experience in designing and delivering HR-focused Tier 0 digital experiences.

  • Practical experience in value-based, data-driven and customer back decision making.

  • Experience in product management mechanisms, design thinking principles and agile environments.

  • Experience with Web and content Management including content governance specific to the HR landscape.

  • Understanding of content structures, SEO, information architecture and metadata.

  • Strong cross-functional partner and influencer equally comfortable with HR leaders and in highly technical environments.

  • Experience with vendor management and relationships.

Even Better if:

  • Experience in managing enterprise product release cycles from inception through deployment and continuous iteration.

  • Experience collaborating, designing and building in a remote team environment.

  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Due to the Biden Administration issuing an Executive Order (EO) that effectively mandates COVID-19 vaccination for all U.S. based employees of federal contractors and subcontractors, all U.S. based VMware employees will be required to have their final vaccination dose (e.g., second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or single dose of J&J) by January 4, 2022.
