VMware Sr. Product Manager - Billing, Order Management and/or Subscription Management (Multi-cloud commerce) - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Boston, Massachusetts

Digital Transformation Product Manager - Domain Experience Required - Billing, Order Management and/or Subscription Management (Multi-Cloud Commerce)

This role is fully remote and can be done anywhere in the United States or Canada.

As a Senior Product Manager within the Chief Digital Transformation Office (CDTO) , you will be at the forefront of accelerating VMware’s SaaS Transformation and achieving VMware’s strategic priority to operate as a consumption-obsessed SaaS company. In this role, you will be visible to executives, results-driven, and customer-focused, transforming our Digital Growth Platform for the for entire product and service portfolio impacting marketing, sales planning & productivity, partners, Deal management & CPQ, offer, billing & payment, customer success & support, professional services, knowledge & enablement and subscription lifecycle management. This role is at a unique intersection of product management, business strategy and product operations, and would provide you a great platform for career growth into a product leadership role.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • Cultivate close partnerships with Business Franchise Product Management and Product Marketing leaders to define SaaS Transformation strategy and roadmap for a Franchise

  • Lead cross functional collaboration and execution to onboard services to SaaS and Subscription Commerce platform

  • Develop a broad understanding of SaaS and Subscription Commerce product capabilities and VMware’s business and operations models.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

  • Discover and analyze user needs and synthesize them into product requirements and roadmap.

  • Define and prioritize a product backlog that consistently delivers measurable value towards VMware’s SaaS Transformation.

  • Communicate product requirements to Engineering and Operations teams by authoring clear, concise and actionable Jira Epics and Stories

  • Collaborate with engineering, business operations and data analytics teams to deliver new, impactful platform capabilities that reduces time to value

  • Have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and the Agile practice.

  • Build strong relationships with business partners (Business Franchises, Business Operations, Business functions etc.) and development partners (UX design, engineering, data etc.)

  • Have track record of taking SaaS or IaaS products from concept to launch

  • Are familiar with the customer journey and commercial model of industry leading SaaS and IaaS products, and have the ability to incorporate industry best practices into your product.
