In this pivotal role, you will be a key contributor and technical leader for web and mobile application software development activities around IoT and connected product software platforms supporting Pall's filtration and separation products.

Expertly produce multiple AWS Cloud based software development initiatives undertaken by the Sensors and IoT program team. Utilize demonstrated web and mobile software development skills and support others to do the same.

Lead scope, technical complexity, user requirements, and risk for development in NPD projects, ensuring effective controls are in place and risk mitigations are planned and executed when needed. Solves technical challenges, aligning and leading team resources to produce high quality software/firmware solutions in accordance with required work you're doing in support of Digital NPD efforts

Utilize DBS tools (similar to six sigma process methodology) including Visual Project Management, Daily Management and Danaher Software System to ensure development activities are performed to budget, schedule, and specification. Be accountable to department budgets, technology roadmaps, and department initiatives as they pertain to mobile apps software development.

Takes an active role in user interface design, development, and specification. Coordinates third party vendor activities in the area of front-end user interfaces for the overall software development team. Participate in development and maintenance product cost model, including documentation for code development and final user documentation.

Participates in organizing and coordinating work flow through the R&D and support organizations for software development related activities including development of prototype code, testing, legal, sales, marketing, manufacturing and procurement departments. Develop/code predictive analytics that provide end users with product life estimates, trends, and measurable alerts. Also handles intellectual property related inquiries.

Required Qualifications:

  • Seven to ten years overall software design and development experience with mostly back end development for web based applications.

  • Current and extensive experience with Cloud AWS user interface and backend development using the following application programming tools : Node.js, Python, TypeScript, Swift, Java and C#

  • High proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS): Serverless (SAM), DynamoDB, IoT Core, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, AWS DevOps (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeCommit)

  • Significant and demonstrated experience in solving problems and implementing web technologies utilizing tools such as OpenAPI, SwaggerHub, Postman, Chrome Dev Tools, AWS Cloudwatch. Desired but not mandatory: React, CheckMarx, iOS or Android Development, AWS SystemsManager

  • Previous exposure to and/or familiarity with MQTT or full-stack IoT platforms preferred.

  • Deep experience in implementing and executing software development lifecycle concepts, including Agile methodologies. Comfortable utilizing tools like JIRA to track development objectives and communicate with teammates.

  • Demonstrates strong skills in defect trouble shooting and code debugging, including mentoring and guided problem solving of others on team regarding these tasks. Takes ownership of customer issues and drives investigations to resolution in order to maintain commitments

  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident is required. Ability to sponsor a visa is not available for this role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar. Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Must have strong communication skills, detail oriented, self-motivated. Desire to learn quickly and thrive in a changing environment. Applies innovative approaches to complex problems and proposes unique solutions when suited

  • Comfortable with delivering complex arguments to multi-functional teams and advocating successfully for preferred solutions. Mentor and coach team members in all aspects of SDLC. Lean process methodology is desired.

  • Ability to work remotely and if onsite ability to work safely and to follow the company’s health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies. #Li-Remote #LI-SB2
