MassMutual Strategic Consultant, Solutions Delivery in Boston, Massachusetts

As part of this journey, we are building a talented, innovative, collaborative, and inclusive Platform Transformation Solutions Architecture & Analytics team, who drives solutions and strategy across systems integrations, platforms & product features, and data-driven decisioning for systems migration towards cost-effective operations and better user-experience.

About the Role:

A results-driven leader who demonstrates accountability, agility, and exhibits both technical aptitude and business acumen. As a strategic consultant you will be the core of our team. You are experienced in process management and value stream analysis, managing technology portfolio, tracking the portfolio items, and present them to leaders and stakeholders with actionable insights. You are comfortable to work with technologists in systems integration, systems migration, data technology, and analytics domain. You manage priorities effectively, anticipate challenges and adapt with them quickly. In this role, we also highly value strong communication skills, a passion for learning, leadership traits, resilience, and self-awareness.


  • Partner with Platform Transformation product owners, functional leaders, solutions architects, and analytics experts to develop short-term and long-term plans on solutions development need.

  • Create, maintain effective presentations and metric dashboards with progress measures and actionable insights to inform strategy and on-going prioritization.

  • Develop a deep understanding of application integrations, data interfaces, core data domains and business insights to support policy migration initiatives.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on change management, especially with respect to integrations, data excellence principles, and analytics.

  • Manage solutions architecture and analytics portfolio and intake process towards policy migration initiatives; consult with project teams, SME’s to develop and evolve the portfolio to meet project team and business partner needs.

  • Conduct analysis of portfolio implications due to new/changing work efforts and lead/drive decision making.

  • Contribute to the content development, planning, and management of key meetings and events, and follow through the actions.

  • Partner with other strategic consultants across the organization in broader communication strategy, change management, and readiness.

  • Assists in the development of organization and teams objectives, strategic plans, and identification of strengths and weakness.

  • May conduct special studies in areas such as the organization's effectiveness, capacity utilization, and value stream opportunities.


  • Bachelors degree

  • 8+ years of related experience as a business consultant, systems analyst, product manager, project manager or in similar roles.

  • Proven ability to make sense from large and complex systems integration needs, and ability to aggregate and make sense of large sets of data.

  • Strong desire to work as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and apply them within growing teams.

  • Experienced in driving and tracking task-level progress within teams.

  • Proficiency with Content management and Collaboration tools like Confluence, Jira, SharePoint etc.

  • Demonstrated agility and flexibility and a continuous learning mindset.

  • Possesses excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to think strategically.

  • Experience in working with senior leadership.

  • Experience leading multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience or familiarity with Financial Services, Life Insurance, or Annuities is highly desired.

  • Experience in creating Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) within IT domain.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a rapid and iterative development environment.
