As our Strategic Sourcing Manager , you will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities for a segment of the Wolters Kluwer sourcing scope. You will work with partners across the enterprise to ensure that our goals and strategies are achieved. The main responsibilities of a strategic sourcing content services category management role include developing Content Services strategies that support strategic goals and deliver cost advantage, being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to manage Content Services spend, taking ownership of high-priority sourcing projects, analyzing data and presenting results to executive leadership, building relationships with important strategic suppliers, managing with important partners, performing and overseeing supplier relationship and performance management, implementing performance tracking and reporting, managing strategic sourcing and contracting, and increasing content sourcing best practices and industry knowledge. You will develop fact-based recommendations, and a focus on improving and value creation. You’ll partner with colleagues from multiple departments globally to develop Content Services strategies that support strategic goals and deliver cost advantage

This is a Remote/Hybrid role and will report to the Strategic Sourcing Associate Director - GBS Sourcing & Category Lead for the Content Services and under the directorship of VP, Global Outsourcing Management - GBS Sourcing. Must be legally authorized to work in the USA. #LI-Remote

Required Job Qualifications (Minimum):

  • Experience: 5 years + of relevant professional experience in Content Services/Production, Information Technology, Content Management Systems

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to manage Content Services spend with an affinity for technology, software, and services. Content Services include:

  • Worked with Content Development Platforms, SaaS/PaaS services Content production (Pre-press/Editorial)

  • Managed content production processes for multiple products like Journals, Books, Magazines, or Marketing Materials

  • Print manufacturing processes and technologies.

  • Warehousing and Logistics services

  • Negotiate with large, global outsourcing vendors

  • Take ownership of high-priority sourcing projects, including business case development, supplier negotiations, conducting analyses, and summarizing conclusions into fact-based recommendations.

  • Analyze data and develop recommendations to resolve procurement issues and improve supplier performance management. Present results to executive leadership and the broader organization, while being and coach for data storytelling.

  • Build relationships with important strategic suppliers, improve, and value creation, and increase industry knowledge to implement best practices in content sourcing.

  • Manage with important partners across the business, support tasks, and supplier base to achieve strategic goals, and seek out opportunities to improve the effectiveness, collaboration, and excellence along the product lifecycle

  • Experience applying data-driven insights with an affinity to Technology to create strategic plans and recommendations.

  • Analytical, ability including logical reasoning, comfort with numbers and the ability to work through complex issues

  • In-depth knowledge of (Content) Category management and sourcing, methodologies, and best practices

  • Travel : travel will be no more than 10% but we do expect you to visit partners and vendors whenever required; travel can be within US but occasionally Europe and Asia. Considering most of the partners work between NYC, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia area, preference is to have a candidate working remotely out of that those regions.

Other Qualifications (preferences):

  • Experience: Define, implementing, amending, and maintaining complex contracts Demonstrating in English.

  • Additional European Languages skill (Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, and Portuguese)

  • Commercial and financial experience

  • Education : Bachelor's degree+ with an outstanding record of academic achievement

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, NY, WA: $114,100-$159,900
