Facebook Technical Program Manager, PDP Data Sets and Interest Graphs in Boston, Massachusetts

We are looking for candidates that share our passion for tackling complexity head-on, to help build platforms that can scale through multiple orders of magnitude. As a Technical Program Manager on the People Data Infra and Privacy team, you will play a key role working with the Engineering team driving large projects that span the organization and are cross functional. Our team is comprised of varying levels of experience and backgrounds, from new grads to industry veterans. Relevant experience is important, but ultimately less so than your demonstrated abilities and attitude. Facebook's infrastructure is constantly redefining what is possible, and we need program managers that can do the same.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage cross-functional software engineering products and programs in a matrix organization covering a range of areas.

  2. Interface with Engineering and business owners for project requirements and scope.

  3. Help drive improvements to the labelling process including the UI tool used in the labelling process by collaborating with the Product Data Operations team, Engineering, Product management and Data Science teams.

  4. Help drive product decisions to align with higher company initiatives.

  5. Provide hands-on program management and during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases ensuring on-time delivery of projects.

  6. Perform risk management and change management, day-to-day coordination on programs and projects.

  7. Articulate the technology, requirements, goals and milestones of your team.

  8. Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

  2. 4+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience.

  3. Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.

  4. Organizational, coordination, and multi-tasking experience.

  5. Analytical and problem-solving experience with systems.

  6. Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in managing process improvements by partnering with the operations, Engineering teams.

  2. Experience in handling data enforcement & retention, data purpose & policy definition, and proper usage.

  3. Experience in building tooling to verify compliance with large-scale dataset and detect issues early.

  4. Experience in working with Big Data software such as SQL, Hive, Spark, Presto or similar technologies.

  5. Experience with running large, cross-functional technical programs involving multiple organization wide teams.
