Allied Universal Technical Support Associate Engineer in Boston, Massachusetts

AMAG, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Technical Support Engineer. This Technical Support Engineer position is responsible for providing oral and written responses to technical enquiries over the phone and via email to customers related to AMAG Access Control software and hardware.

What you will do:

  • To provide timely and accurate responses to customer related issues.

  • To represent AMAG in a customer facing role regarding problems.

  • Understand the impact and importance of a customer issue and relay clear concise information to the post development support team

  • Replicate and resolve problems reported by internal project managers, customers and distributors.

  • Liaising with customers with regard to implementation issues specifically related to customer IT platforms.

  • To participate, as required, in the company's Quality program

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Degree level education or equivalent in computing or electronics \ computing

  • Experience of working in a similar role.

  • Need to be customer facing and have the ability to engage and communicate with customer contacts with a high level of IT understanding.

  • Able to work on own and in a team environment.

  • Good time management skills; able to meet project deadlines.

  • Ability to write clear, well-structured reports and instructions.

  • Good communicator

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven productive working relationships with customers, management, and peers

Other work related factors:

  • Occasional travel often at short notice with period of travel of up to 2 weeks in duration a requirement.

  • Multi-lingual ability to speak, read, and write in English and preferably Spanish is a plus

  • Strong customer orientation and problem-solving skills
