Technology Consulting, Financial Services, Senior Manager, Financial Risk - Liquidity

You’ll use your professional skills and experience to make it happen, assisting our clients to address the increasing pressures on optimization of business mix, compliance and regulatory cost, and fast paced growth due to increased scrutiny and optimization in the liquidity space.

The opportunity

You’ll lead our clients on a range of risk management services and issues in the treasury area around asset liability management, liquidity risk management, FTP, and other treasury activities.

Your key responsibilities:

You’ll lead the development of cutting-edge disruptive technologies and implement new technology solutions and products to address liquidity challenges faced by the banking industry. As a senior manager, you will lead relationship building and business development conversations with senior/C-level client stakeholders. You’ll lead business opportunity identification and business development pursuit processes internally and with potential clients. In addition, you will:

  • Serve as a thought leader on risk management/compliance program and technology topics

  • Develop approaches and business cases to implement change in our clients’ environments

  • Serve as engagement leader to include:

  • guiding engagement teams, work product creation and overall quality

  • leading discussions with client stakeholders

  • assessing risk/compliance programs and technology

  • gathering business requirements and translating them into IT system functional requirements, designs, user journeys, and solution visions

  • developing strategic architecture and system change and configuration options.

  • implementing, testing, and assisting to deploy changes to third party and custom development systems

  • conducting data analytics work such as performing data analysis and modeling on client data

  • lead discussions with senior/C-level client stakeholders to present value delivered in engagements and gain buy-in

  • Lead a diverse range of internal practice development initiatives

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and build an effective team of technology consultants through all phases of the engagement lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, development, testing and post-delivery support

  • Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business

  • Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget

  • Motivate large-scale engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds by fostering an innovative and inclusive team-orientated work environment

  • Understand our clients’ unique ambitions and needs, and refer them to colleagues in other teams and areas to broaden our business relationships where possible

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree in risk, computer science, information technology, management information systems, engineering or a related field, and more than 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and more than 7 years of related work experience

  • Experience in managing large teams and overseeing projects from inception to deployment

  • Experience in treasury and liquidity reporting (FR 2052a, LCR, NSFR) and risk management practices, processes, and products

  • Knowledge of a broad range of treasury instruments and the complex financial products used to manage risk

  • Functional knowledge related to asset-liability management, interest rate risk, funding and liquidity risk, collateral management, stress testing

  • Understand leading practices and regulatory guidance in Treasury governance, processes, procedures, and internal control environment

  • Experience in financial risk management combined with leading enterprise IT implementations leveraging Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies

  • Experience developing strategic relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and pursuing opportunities through the full sales lifecycle

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Prior consulting experience with a Big 4 firm or large global bank

  • Business requirements using agile methodologies and tools e.g., JIRA

  • OOP Programming languages (Java preferable)

  • Scripting Technologies (Python preferable)

  • Databases (e.g., Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, Big data technologies like Hadoop)

  • Reporting/Visualization Tools (Spotfire, Tableau, Qlik)

• The salary range for this position in Denver is $153,400- $318,600

• The salary range for this position in Stamford is $168,700- $350,400

• The salary range for this position in Hartford is $153,400- $318,600

• The salary range for this position in Las Vegas is $145,700 - $302,600
