We're hoping you'll join our UX team, and bring your passion for front-end development and desire to help people.
As a UI Engineer, you’ll:
Develop proof-of-concepts, and translate design artifacts into functional prototypes to support user research and sales demo activates
Develop configuration and management processes to support ongoing sales demonstrations
Enhance site interactions with meaningful animations
Create reusable front-end components and libraries
Document and maintain design systems with code and use examples
Work closely with product, UX and development team members to produce and maintain code
Advocate/coach best practices and agreed upon standards across your team and help to ensure adoption
Conduct accessibility and performance audits, and create resolution strategies
Must be a self-starter and comfortable assigning work-related tasks to your peers
We’re looking for someone who loves creative problem-solving. Innovation is encouraged, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn and recommend improvements as our product enters new markets. Strong communication skills are essential, as you are the liaison between our designers and developers. You should have experience and be willing to learn new things.
Our technical goal is to provide usable and performant apps. But we also want to make sure people understand and enroll in benefits that work well for them.
2-5 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining production software systems
Expert semantic HTML
A college degree, or professional certificate equivalent, in Computer Science/Engineering, Communication, Digital Media, or related program
Proficiency in responsive design patterns and practices
Competency in cross-browser and device testing and debugging
Competency in website accessibility and WCAG guidelines
Experience with assessing and coaching other team members on the quality of their contributions
Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language
Dedicated to quality and stakeholder satisfaction, persistent about achieving project goals
Interpersonal skills that demonstrate collaboration, facilitation, influencing and negotiating
A demonstrated willingness to understand and apply established coding style guidelines, prior to collaborating with colleagues to make future enhancements.
Familiarity with Agile software development
Compensation and benefits information for this position is being included in accordance with requirements of the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Please note that the salary range listed relate specifically to roles located in Colorado and that salary ranges for similar positions located in other Willis Towers Watson locations may vary. In addition, salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to individual competencies, education/professional certifications, experience and performance in the role.
The hourly rate or salary compensation range being offered for this role is $80,000-120,000
This role is also eligible for an annual 10% bonus.
