VMware Vice President, Head of Design - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Boston, Massachusetts
The VMware Design team is looking for an experienced design leader to lead our 250+ global design team.

You will lead product design, user research, developer experience, design systems, accessibility, and our UI platform teams. In this role, close to 300 designers, engineers, design program managers, accessibility engineers, and user researchers will report to you and work alongside their partners to deliver end-to-end experiences to our customers.
Your role spans multiple business units at VMware and aims to build a set of cohesive end-to-end experiences across the organization.

Comfortable with a highly technical product domain.
Able to champion the business value of user experience and continue to influence how design and user research is included early in the product and service definition phase.

Excellent written, storytelling, and presentation skills.
Experience operating at an executive leadership level with budget responsibility.
Experience with enterprise product design and development.
Experience with cloud and SaaS product domains.
Led large cross-functional teams (100+) working on multiple product lines before.
Built the foundational pieces of process and structure for a global team.
A deep understanding of User Centered Design, Accessibility, Research and Operational excellence.
