At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As Sr. Project/Task Manager supporting the TSS Applications Group you will drive increased support for GDIT stakeholders and customers as well as lead and manage projects across the GDIT enterpirse.

As a Sr. Project Task Manager supporting TSS Applications you will be :

  • Leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units

  • Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to stage gate quality activities

  • Management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful on-time project delivery

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery

  • Run projects on a day-to-day basis, managing a team of cross functional Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) in the delivery of the documented requirements

  • Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case

  • Collaborating with team members during capture and solutioning working groups

  • Supporting the technical Application Solutions Architects in developing staffing and technical solutions

  • Leading working groups to develop innovative concepts to differentiate GDIT from the competition and introduce these concepts through the use of storyboards to the customer

  • Supporting Proposal Technical Writing as assigned

  • Supporting Bottom-Up analysis in support of staffing and technical solutions

  • Leading the effort in responding to Requests for Information to support upcoming pursuits

  • Participating in Special Projects as required

Required Qualifications

Education and/or relevant experience –Bachelors Degree

5+ years as a Project Manager/Business Analyst with Strong history leading Application Projects and the following:

  • Experience leading ITSM type projects such as event management roll outs, ServiceNow Deployments and/or ACD

  • Proven self-starter that takes personal responsibility & accountability for project teams’ results.

  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing initiatives

  • Understands project(s) in context of greater organizational strategy and how it contributes to the organizational vision

  • Not a task manager, but a business outcome and results driven individual

  • Ability to challenge project/technical team to achieve desired business results

  • Comfortable briefing executive level clientele, distilling complex project / technical scope to pertinent details that afford decision makers necessary information for informed business decisions

  • Strong written/verbal communications skills

  • Strong Conflict Resolution Skills

  • Capacity to manage high stress situations

  • Expert level MS Office Applications (+Visio, MS Project)

  • Experienced in Staffing Responsibilities based on project requirements

  • Experienced in coaching and mentoring more Junior team members

  • PMP Certification

  • CSM Certification

Security clearance level – Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
