Cisco Prime Network Registrar (CPNR) is a successful, high performance, unified software product providing DHCP and DNS services. CPNR is a market leader in both Service Provider and Enterprise domains. It forms the basis of the device provisioning systems deployed by the largest service providers in the US and around the world. CPNR is also deployed by thousands of large and medium size enterprises around the world.
This position requires a strong candidate with a consistent track record in development to work closely with senior software development and quality/test engineers. A successful applicant will bring strong technical skills to the table and be able to work well in a team environment, as well as the ability to work with customers.
Demonstrate Strong Ownership and take work to completion
Lead/Participate in Requirements, Planning, Design, Review discussions.
Good Cloud Architecture knowledge
Work in a Continuous integration environment with the highest focus on software standards and quality
Demonstrate a high degree of originality and innovation in defining product and project level architecture.
Analyze customer feedback and customer issues, Participate actively in customer support activities which includes triage & providing resolutions
Incrementally upgrade & develop new skills to adapt to new product requirements, participate and present leanings in a BU level forums
Document software design, flows and use cases using various software design techniques
Work in an agile environment, adapt to an obstacle culture and team first attitude
Knowledge of DHCP and/or DNS, SNMP, TCP/IP, IPv6, DHCPv6.
Proficiency in programming in C/C++, Java, Go development of algorithms using efficient data structures to come up with optimized code, debugging and troubleshooting under Linux environment.
and Cloud Technologies, Containers (like Docker), Kubernetes, NoSQL Databases (like MongoDB)
Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, Pearl, Unix shell.
Experience working with Source Code Management and Continuous Integration tools - we use Git and Jenkins
Good organization and written and oral communication skills.
Excellent problem solving skills and debugging skills
Ability to work cohesively within the team and across geographically spread teams to drive and deliver results
Ability to work independently and with little supervision.
Ability to translate high level requirements into specific features, develop functional and design specifications
Knowledge of any of the following is a big plus:
Network Management & Element Management tools (NMS/EMS).
Designing and implementing NMS/EMS tests for design verification that includes load/scale along with integration testing.
Postgres, Kafka, RabitMQ
Typically requires B.E/B.Tech CS/IT/EE
8+ years related experience in networking or system software development.
