Cloud Operations QA Engineer

Randstad Sourceright, in collaboration with Bose Corporation, is seeking a Cloud Operations QA Engineer to be responsible for validation of the quality, performance, resiliency, and security of Bose's cloud-based services, which enable customer experiences across our devices (speakers, headsets, and home theatre), mobile applications, and cloud partners such as music services, voice personal assistants, and integrators. Duties include designing test strategies and frameworks for automation, and test planning, implementation, execution, and reporting.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Cloud Operations QA Engineer should have recent(last 24 months at least)and significant, automation test experience in large-scale distributed systems, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to partner with product development teams, system architects, and stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities for this job include:

  • Hands-on involvement in all phases of product development, including planning, design, implementation, and execution of automated tests, defect logging and verification, and reporting results

  • Participate in problem diagnosis, triage and prioritization, qualification of fixes, and root cause analysis

  • Design and develop automation frameworks and test suites to test the Bose cloud platform and services

  • Develop test automation across many perspectives: functional correctness, code quality, large-scale loading, transaction rate, chaos, security, business continuity

  • Implement, track, and report key metrics to assure full coverage of functional and non-functional requirements

  • Consistently improve test automation infrastructure and coverage

  • Champion quality throughout the development process


  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical domain

  • Experience developing or testing public cloud-based microservices (Rest-API’s) AWS, Azure, or similar platforms within the last 24 months (at least).

  • Excellent coding experience with Python, JAVA, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages

  • Deep understanding and use of APIs in large-scale distributed systems.

  • 5+ years’ experience in software development (experience developing cloud-based microservices a plus)

  • 2+ years’ experience designing, implementing, and executing automated test frameworks
