HarborOne Bank Business Process Officer in Brockton, Massachusetts

The Business Process Officer is responsible for working closely with Operations teams to execute the ongoing review of operational processes, identity potential efficiencies, recommend solutions and manage related implementation projects or tasks. You will also represent the Operations business group on certain strategic project implementations managed by the Project Management Office and oversee projects and tasks identified to remediate audit issues.

1.) Conduct hands-on reviews of business processes and documentation to identify inefficiencies, control gaps or risk exposure

2.) Lead projects to implement business process solutions and to remediate operations audit findings

3.) Work with existing application vendors to stay informed of software capabilities to identify solutions to operational problems

5.) All other duties as assigned

• Evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations teams; solve business problems by defining the problem, identifying stakeholders, identifying and researching alternatives, and presenting findings.

• Develop and document workflows for new processes; document workflows for existing processes.

• Establish productive internal relationships; engage and lead cross-functional teams to manage projects and initiatives through implementation.

• Use quantitative and qualitative data of operational processes to analyze, determine and promote data driven decisions.

• Recommend and implement changes to process, systems and/or procedure to resolve outstanding audit findings, working closely with the Deposit Operations and eBanking teams.

• Create detailed project plans to monitor implementation time-lines.

• Provide training and expertise to impacted personnel when processes are modified

• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all HarborOne Bank products and services, policies, and appropriate regulatory issues relevant to deposit operations and electronic banking.

• Develop strong working knowledge of the core system and other key business applications; identify systems upgrades and enhancements, establish and lead working project teams to manage testing and implementation.

• Research capabilities of existing vendor applications to identify functionality to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations teams.

• Complete assigned application vendor risk assessments as required.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in a business-related field and 7+ years of banking or commensurate experience in bank operations, preferably deposit operations and/or electronic banking.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to identify and understand the scope and scale of issues, identify root, process opportunities and develop appropriate solutions.

  • Experienced with establishing partnerships and working collaboratively with multiple groups, developing productive and trusted relationships with business managers, colleagues and vendor partners.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Able to communicate effectively and constructively at all levels within the organization, including the ability to simplify and communicate complex issues for a variety of audiences.

  • Ability to work independently as part of a team; use internal and external resources and personal judgement to make effective decisions

  • Strong multi-tasking abilities, consistently operating at high standards of quality and accuracy within required time frames.

  • Ability to effectively translate user feedback into business requirements

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Proficient with MS Office; Visio experience preferred; COCC Insight preferred; MS Project a plus

  • Knowledge of federal and state banking regulations and laws with emphasis on deposit operations and electronic banking

  • General Office Environment: Yes

  • Physical Demands and Requirements: The physical environment requires the employee to sitting for long periods of time at a computer. Noise level is moderate. May be requested to work overtime and weekend for special project. Employee may also be requested to work remotely occasionally.
