Sr. Principal Product Manager or Director (IC-5), Data Management Partner Solutions

US Remote

As a Senior Principle Product Manager or Director (IC-5) of Data Management Partner Solutions , you will be serving as the key technical interface between our partners (top global SIs, ISV, regional SIs) and Data Management development organization. You will work with partners to jointly define, develop and implement data management solutions and applications in alignment with Oracle’s go-to-market strategy in this area and accelerate data management revenue and consumption. Oracle data management solution are based on Database, Data warehouse, Big Data, Data Integration, Governance, AL/ML and other technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful partner engagements worldwide

  • Own the technical engagement with strategic partners

  • Assist partners with the definition of technical strategies that will enable them to sell more of their offering leveraging Oracle Data Management products

  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community

  • Share partner and customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of Oracle Data Management product

  • Targeted technical training for partners.

Professional qualifications and skills:

  • Deep hands-on expertise in Oracle Data Management products and technologies

  • 7+ years of hands on implementation or consulting experience in data management technologies

  • 5+ years in a customer and or partner facing role

  • Experience working with end user or developer communities

  • Experience working effectively across internal and external organizations

  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle

Educational background and competence:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or 4+ years’ work experience in a technical role

  • Effective program management skills, ability to adapt to change and prioritize to meet tight deadlines

  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills. Team player / leader, experience in working with multi-cultural and virtual teams

  • Deep expertise on current data management technology trends including data warehouse, data lake, Data Science and AI/ML , and their impact on business strategy

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
