Keurig Dr Pepper Electrical Engineer in Burlington, Massachusetts

Job Overview

We are building on our position as the innovation leader in appliances to deliver the next generation of Keurig® machines to our consumers and customers. As part of our Appliance Global Product Organization, you will be at the heart of all matters concerning electrical hardware and integration.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the development of technologies critical to the realization of our next generation of smart machines, sustain existing technologies and lead new product development initiatives. This position will have significant impact and leverage on current and future products and will be in an excellent position for visibility and growth within the KDP technology organization.

Job responsibilities

  • Designing, modifying, and testing control boards for commercial and residential appliances. This includes embedded microcontrollers, Wi-Fi modules, power converters and system level integration.

  • Contribute to the product roadmap by evaluating new concepts and conduct feasibility of proposed approaches.

  • Analyze trade-offs between performance, manufacturability, and cost.

  • Participate in design reviews, project meetings and time/cost budgeting events, failure analysis and fault remediation.

  • Perform detailed technical analysis and work with interdisciplinary teams to bridge technology gap between theory and implementable hardware, develop test & methodology specifications.

  • Establish performance metrics and requirements through careful use of theory, models and experiments across devices, circuits, and human perception.

  • Coordinating and performing qualification tests to ensure compliance with electrical, regulatory (EMI, UL etc.), thermal, mechanical and environmental requirements.

  • Meeting project schedules, deadlines and budgets.


  • BE in Electrical Engineering + 5 years of relevant industry experience OR MS in Electrical Engineering + 3 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Sound knowledge and design experience with electrical circuits, design for manufacturability and reliability

  • Experience with Printed Circuit board layout and design.

  • Experience with simulating circuits & building prototypes to validate design.

  • Familiarity with UL & FCC regulatory requirements

  • Familiarity with embedded microcontrollers and programming.

  • Creative and self-driven with very strong analytical skills.

  • Experience with AC-DC and DC-DC power converters is a nice to have.
