Wellforce Epic Client Systems Administrator in Burlington, Massachusetts
Performs design, installation, customization and maintenance of operating systems and system software products in support of business processing requirements. Evaluates and integrates new operating system versions, drivers and hardware. Provides technical expertise for system transitions, migrations and consolidations. Manages physical, virtual and cloud-based workloads.
Accountable for contributing to the technical architecture and supporting the day-to-day operations, support and management of the Wellforce Health System server environment comprising the cloud hosted healthcare application ecosystem and the Epic Electronic Health Record system.
Acts as a subject matter expert in the design, architecture and deployment of new systems to keep the server environment stable and interruptions to a minimum in standalone and multi-tiered environments.
Conducts project management activities for new system requirements on various projects for deployment of business functions on new servers.
Transfers knowledge and provides leadership support to less experienced team members in the implementation of new hardware, operating systems and other required software on the systems.
Conducts system analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies and work with other professional technical staff in evaluating current systems and making decisions on future development.
Proactively learns new technologies to resolve any problems involved in integrating the new technologies with current systems.
Performs Root Cause analysis.
Plans maintenance programs.
Recommends platform upgrades and hardware refresh.
Provides 24 by 7 rotating on-call support.
Epic EHR client systems administrator certification (ECSA) required
AWS Certification desirable
VMWare Certification desirable
ITIL certification desirable
6-8 years relevant experience
Demonstrated understanding of technical architecture design.
Knowledge of change management policies.
Ability to communicate technical, complex issues in simple terms.
Understands technical product roadmaps and determines support requirements.
Team orientation and proven ability to work across boundaries up and down the organization.
Innovative problem-solving skills and excellent written, briefing, and communication skills.

Advanced knowledge of Windows System Administration and Operating Systems.
Experience with Windows Servers
Experience with Windows Workstations
Background with Windows NTFS & Share permissions & Group Policies
Standard Wintel admin technologies: DNS, DHCP, SMTP, TCP/IP
Experience with print management: print servers, queues, drivers, etc.
Advanced knowledge of Systems Hardware. (HP, Dell, IBM, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Level Systems infrastructure.
Significant experience with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop
Scripting (vm or powershell) Microsoft Exchange knowledge
Significant experience with VMware Suite
IIS, WMI and SQL experience
Advanced knowledge of Datacenter Operations.
Background with tape backups; CommVault, Symantec, EMC, IBM or HP
Advanced knowledge of network technologies.
Advanced knowledge of industry standards and audit requirements
Experience with Azure and AWS cloud services is desirable.
