Job Description
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

We are looking for a mid-level Program Manager who wants to help in the research and development ofcutting-edgeelectronics, signal processing, and high-speed data processing solutions. Successful candidates will be able to work under general direction as a Program Manager II. Responsible for the completion of milestones or ad-hoc tasks outlined by the Portfolio Manager or Product Line Director. The failure to meet milestones or tasks can result in delays in program scheduling or the expenditure of additional resources. Candidate should demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, leadership, problem-solving skills, and promote an awareness of BAE Systems internal opportunities.
As a Program Manager, you will support programs for the FAST Labs directorate out of Merrimack, NH and Burlington, MA where our primary customers are DARPA and other government labs. This position requires a comprehensive interface with Contracts, Subcontracts, Finance and Purchasing experts within the company as well as with Government customers to assure that the project s financials, schedule and technical objectives are met and that the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved. You will have a significant opportunity to work with several leaders in these areas and in the technical business areas defining future technology transition.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
10 years work experience with Bachelor s degree and/or equivalent experience
Top Secret clearance
Demonstrated management skills on both strategic, large process directed programs and small cost constrained programs.
Effectively diagnose and collaborate with team to develop solutions for projects with high levels of risk due to uncertainty from research and development type programs.
Develop and implement solutions to problems.
Ability to balance and tailor project execution to align with the business strategic priorities.
Experience of building relationships and negotiating outcomes with stakeholders.
Understanding of the wider PM environment, and of developments and practices in the field.
Broad understanding of the team structure, organization, processes, business, or project so as to be able to implement appropriate PM approaches.
Good understanding of how the team integrates with other teams in order to achieve objectives.
Influencing skills required in order to achieve optimum solutions with the wider team and other functions/disciplines.
Lead and motivate the local team.
Lead monthly Program Reviews as required
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
Experience managing schedule and cost for projects with >$1M budgets
Ability to build and maintain relationships across product lines, business areas, and the customer community.
Proven ability to lead a diverse, and complex organization across multiple sites.
Ability to apply critical thinking skills to optimize program execution best practices to advance technologies.
Experienced in facilitation and cross-organization communications.
Experience with resource planning, staff development and management reporting.
Exceptional ability to allocate and assign resources to technical tasks and manage the resources toward efficient utilization.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills and decision-making abilities.
Experience reviewing and approving Basis of Estimates and proposals including assessment of associated risks and opportunities.
