As the Release & Deployment Manager within the New England Region, You will have a passion for engaging with the clients in solving complex technology problems and deploying solutions in the Retail industry to support the business strategy. The role requires interaction with senior stakeholders to provide overall direction for the deployment strategy for one or more supply chain operations.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
This role is to manage releases and deployments for a number of loosely integrated systems within a program. The activities will include creating deployment/release plans for deployments with specific activity plans for product team members, production turnover, production support, integrations, security, and getting signoff from business and compliance teams.
This person will manage all code releases for Mainframe, Oracle RPAS, Exadata SQL, and IBM TM1 systems, and Control-M batch scheduling, and Move-It-Automation integration. They will maintain a
release calendar with priorities of releases, and requirements for people resources, environments, completed test evidence, and approvals to push code into production.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
5-10 years of minimum IT and Consulting Services experience
• Strong retail background is successful
• Knowledge of deployment strategies, including planning activities, and leading deployments.
• Technically proficient at a systems level (not development), to understand systems, integrations.
• Ability to lead team and facilitate meetings between development, prod turnover, prod support, security
• Understanding of deployment tools and tactics, including methods for both manual and automated deployments
• Knowledge of ServiceNow, including change requests and incident management.
Ability to work with business to get priorities, product management for release dates/times, and with compliance to get approvals/signoffs.
