BAE Systems Security Specialist Sr. in Burlington, Massachusetts

As an Assistant Facility Security Officer you will work with all levels of leadership as well as internal and external customers to support a variety of interesting and dynamic programs.
Looking for a motivated individual with the ability toexercise discretion and independent judgement when performing the following tasks:
Ensure compliance with U.S. Government directives, regulations and requirements as well as corporate/business unit directives and customer directed requirements. Along with the FSO, manage all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
Ensure 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule compliance within the facility
Ensure compliance with the Special Security Agreement between the US Government and foreign owners
Assist with International requirements to include: Government to Government shipments, Foreign Visitor requirements, Foreign Travel of BAE Systems employees, and Export compliance.
Interpret policy, implement security plans and procedures
Provides security guidance to company personnel.
Conduct security briefings
Responsible for reviewing, writing and ensuring compliance of all collateral DD254 s.
Ensure the compliance of Security Practice and Procedures (SPP)
Provide and implement ideas and initiative to ensure a robust security education and awareness program.
Support Security reviews to include: Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency visits, formal self-inspections, ES Security Staff Assistance Visits (SAV)
Assist FSO with closed area support to include above ceiling checks, maintaining closed areas access lists, escorting, key inventory
INFOSEC Support including: Inventory of all holdings at least annually, incoming and outgoing mail, logging classified items
Conducts investigations of noncompliance issues and reviews security violations.
Assist FSO in tracking required training
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
The ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement in the performance of duties set forth in the primary duties and responsibilities above
Strong customer service, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Utilize computer skills for creating reports, using security specific databases, and creating spread sheets
Make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal regulations
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Five or more years of related security experience with demonstrated leadership ability. Should be conversant and have had experience in the Department of Defense security community
