Navigant provides end-to-end revenue cycle management consulting services, including assistance with performance improvement and technology optimization, to support financial and operational goals of its healthcare provider clients. Our dedicated revenue cycle team is a blend of industry experts from leading healthcare systems, consulting firms, and technology service providers who offer a diverse understanding of today’s changing healthcare environment.

The Senior Consultant will have significant responsibility for client management, solution implementation, and generation of project results. The incumbent is responsible for working with the client in order to ensure engagement success as well as supporting the continued growth of both supporting staff and internal Navigant methodology.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support all data requests for identified net benefit opportunities on client engagements

  • Lead implementation of identified net benefit opportunity initiatives on client engagements

  • Support day to day operational meetings with Manager / Director level client sponsors

  • Contribute to internal practice development and methodology

  • Contribute to overall development and education of supporting staff

  • Ability to be proactive, self-directing and take initiative

  • Strong problem solving ability and analytical skills

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure

  • Ability to set priorities and use good judgment

  • Previous consulting experience, preferably in a change management organization

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Well versed in Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project and SharePoint

  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions

  • Understands and anticipates the client's needs and initiates action where appropriate

  • Takes independent action when appropriate, using understanding of impact to client and if next steps need to be reviewed with leadership (both client and internal)

  • The ability to multi-task and deal with ambiguity

  • The ability to represent Navigant with poise, professionalism and confidence

  • Prepares clear, well-organized, effective reports/presentations in order to communicate results to team management/members and the client

  • Supervises self and others, as required, in executing work, prioritizing tasks, and handling day-to-day challenges

  • Strong communication skills, must be able to persuade and influence the actions of others

  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills and assists fellow team members, when necessary, to complete tasks

  • Willingness to travel – up to 75%

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or Clinical Administration

  • Two - Four (2-4) years of core Revenue Cycle experience

  • Two - Four (2-4) years of Consulting experience

  • Two - Four (2-4) years financial analysis experience in a health related organization

  • Frequently communicates with clients and coworkers and must be able to share information effectively

  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

  • Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently

  • Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects in sometimes high-pressure situations simultaneously

  • Able to travel via airplane with minimal assistance to client sites across the US and potentially internationally

  • Usually remains stationary for the majority of the day

  • Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data
