One of the fastest growing functions in Salesforce’s Security Assurance organization, Customer Success & Advocacy Team (CSAT) is looking for a strong individual contributor in this strategic role. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will help define, refine, and lead how we scale Security Assurance to one of the fastest growing cloud platforms in the world.

We are chartered with scaling proactive security investments and control, including but not limited to: security design reviews, threat modeling, code analysis, secure software supply chain, hardened public cloud infrastructure, and offensive security engagements and embedd Secure Development Lifecycle across a diverse set of engineering platforms and cloud ecosystems at Salesforce. You are empowered & entrusted with a customer base of Security Professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with immediate peers, broader security org, & engineering teams to drive depth and breadth across our SSDL agenda

  • Demonstrate your security/technology expertise and respond to critical issues, process questions, and handoff to security SMEs for deeply technical issues

  • Partner with product and engineering organizations to align on and ensure program scope, priorities, and Definition of Done / Business Outcomes are clear and achieved

  • Translate business outcomes into execution strategy (tactical and strategic), lead, and successfully implement the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership

  • Identify stakeholders, develop positive relationships, and work with multiple delivery teams to take ownership and accountability of technical project planning and delivery

  • Apply internal tools and agile approach to cultivate collaboration that fosters autonomy, visibility, mastery, innovation, and continuous improvement

  • Leverage data to help us recognize our gaps, identify solutions, & demonstrate measurable progress

  • Anticipate and purposefully remove obstacles that slow down or prevent programs from delivering on program objectives

  • Seek to continuously grow by proactively seeking and adopting constructive feedback

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience leading large highly complex programs/projects applying Agile/Scrum, Kanban

  • Experience in driving key information security, compliance, and/or other regulatory requirements internally and externally to the organization

  • Excellent at setting expectations and collaborating with teams through meeting agendas, facilitation, follow-up items, and asynchronous activities via Slack/email

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Emphatic and respectful personality, always putting the needs of people first over the delivery of the project

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a multi-disciplinary environment

  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior leaders, technical and non-technical team members alike

  • Experience framing, establishing and implementing large-scale (enterprise-level) change initiatives

DESIRED SKILLS

  • 5+ years of prior experience running Security programs

  • Detailed understanding of security-related technologies and products

  • Ability to quickly learn Salesforce application to build tools and reports or strong curiosity about technology and ability to develop application/tool to automate processes

  • Understanding of Security Development Lifecycle

  • Have or desire to attain a CISM and/or CISSP certification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field

  • Proficiency with Slack & Google suite of productivity tools
