Design, in the purest sense, plays a critical role at Zebra. As an award-winning international design team, we integrate with cross-functional teams across all parts of Zebra’s business, practicing design thinking and evangelizing a human-centered design approach to ensure Zebra’s solutions offer a best in class experience for our customers.

With that, the UX design team is growing and we’re looking for a Senior UX/UI designer to join our great team. If you’re someone who loves solving complex problems, works confidently within a dynamic and multi-functional environment, and can articulate the power of design, then this might be the role for you

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal design meetings to plan design or design review activities

  • Seek out and capture user needs, customer use-cases, and create design prototypes to be validated by collaborating directly with our cross-functional stakeholders (such as Product Managers, Program Managers)

  • Collaborate with our research team to synergize user data and communicate and distribute as needed to inform better design decisions

  • Sketch, wireframe and prototype effective UX design concepts

  • Create site maps, page flows, interaction models and wireframe specifications

  • Validate design concepts/prototypes through user testing

  • Deliver pixel-perfect, final design solutions and manage the hand-off to development teams through effective documentation/communication of your design solution

  • Work with development teams to test and ensure the quality implementation of the UX/UI

  • Present work to key stakeholders, developers and other designers to effectively communicate design vision and intent

  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

  • Seek out new tools to analyze and solve problems

  • Provide mentorship to other more junior designers

  • May provide guidance to non-exempt personnel

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 4+ years of UX design experience required

  • Experience creating/ designing UI mockups and wireframes required

  • experience designing user flow paths required

  • graphic designing experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree preferred

  • Senior level design knowledge and experience

  • Experience with Sketch, Figma, Invision, and the Adobe Creative Suite

  • Proficient in user research and user testing and have participated in usability test sessions

  • Experience with developing user personas, journey maps, service blueprints, and systems thinking

  • Have deep knowledge of human-centered principles and techniques

  • Experience working with product managers, developers, and other UX designers in an agile environment

  • Comfortable leading design thinking and brainstorm sessions with cross-functional teams

  • Experience/knowledge with Android Material design guidelines

  • Ability to balance attention to detail with consideration for the big picture

  • Enterprise UX experience is a plus
