Job Description
This role will report directly to the VP of IT and Security for the Electronic Systems (ES) Sector. Design, assess and transform classified and unclassified network infrastructure ensuring the needs of the business are met as well as cybersecurity and scalability requirements are achieved. Network architect with demonstrated experience designing, architecting, and managing large- and small-scale network infrastructures in support of classified and unclassified computing environments.
This opportunity has a preference for candidates local to our Nashua, NH headquarters to support a hybrid work schedule. Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. The opportunity may also work for candidates near one of our major ES facilities including Manassas, VA, Cedar Rapids, IA; Huntsville, AL; Austin, TX; ,Fort Wayne, IN or full time remote with certain travel expectations.
The successful candidate will lead the review of requirements of all network design, oversee implementation of network architecting and engineering efforts, and be responsible for setting direction and promoting continuous development of the network, including architecture refresh, service offerings and cloud integration. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to understand and break down complex networks with minimum supervision. Collaborate with BAE leadership in our ES sector to provide enterprise IT architecture support across the entirety of our business area programs and functional support elements. In this role, you will be the lead enterprise architecture digital transformation subject matter expert across the ES Sector, driving digital business optimization and digital transformation activities in our strategic environments. You will represent the sector s digital needs to the broader IT Transformation team, and in turn share and educate the sector on broader transformation strategies (data, integration, digital, etc.) and partnering with ESS IT on support and implementation of ES network infrastructure.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and security, as well as experience with network design, implementation and maintenance. Additionally, knowledge of cloud networking, virtualization, CI/CD principles and software-defined networking.
Experience assessing and leveraging both mainstream and emerging technology advancements in support of either digital business optimization or digital transformation activities.
Engage cross-functional teams to implement new methods and technology-driven ideas to facilitate successful future process improvements in heavy regulated environments. Strong technical background, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to adapt to changing technology and security requirements. Delivers process Engineering and Change management implementation coaching/facilitation, provides recommendations and assists teams in meeting implementation objectives.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Security, Data Science, Analytics, or other Computer Science related field or 16 years of work experience.
Minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on experience supporting operations and or accreditation of enterprise networks, software, and/or applications in a DoD environment.
Demonstrated experience designing, developing, building and implementing information security within networks using DoD information security standards, network infrastructure life cycle management, researching and proposing new technologies for future designs
Currently possess a Secret security clearance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Certifications - CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, MTA
Experience with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation/maintenance for approved operating systems, network appliances, storage devices, servers, software, etc.
Maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting in support of an operational networks, virtualized computing environments, software, FEDRAMP cloud, and/or applications.
Vendor specific certifications:
DOD 8570, IAT Level II Security CE certification or equivalent
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Citrix Certified Professional Virtualization
Citrix Certified Expert Virtualization
Juniper Networks Certified Enterprise Routing and Switching-Expert, or Juniper Networks Certified Enterprise Routing and Switching-Professional.
