Must be able to work overtime hours on occasional evenings and weekend as required for program delivery, particularly in summer. Ability and willingness to travel internationally required.

Additional Qualifications:

Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) a big plus. Previous experience with digital marketing a significant plus. Knowledge of HTML/CSS and/or web development experience highly preferred but not required.

GSD’s Office of Executive Education and International Programs seeks an experienced Assistant Director to support its executive programs and marketing initiatives, within a growing and fast-paced department. Responsible for managing an annual portfolio of 20+ executive education programs and related events, including all phases of delivery from planning, pre-, during, to post program wrap-up and reconciliation. Responsible for all programmatic logistics and operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service to faculty and program participants, particularly in leading delivery of the department’s largest program, the Advanced Management Development Program. The Assistant Director will also serve as coordinator for the department’s marketing strategy, working under the direction of and in close collaboration with the Associate Director.

This position coordinates some key aspects of new program development processes, and related documentation and communication activities for executive education programs. Marketing duties will include working with the Associate Director on coordinating all strands of department’s marketing strategy, and helping to drive results across web platforms.

  • Working under the guidance of the Director and Associate Director, manages all program operations from planning to reconciliation, including all aspects of logistics, event production, and curriculum planning. Establishes the overall program timeline and ensures all deliverables and tasks are completed, coordinating the efforts of faculty, vendors, and supporting units both within and outside Exec Ed. Directly oversees tasks and working processes of existing Program Managers.

  • Responsible for day-to-day department operations under the direction of the Associate Director.

  • Serves as departmental program delivery expert, assisting in training of new and existing staff/part-time employees for programmatic duties to ensure responsibilities are met. Provides post-program delivery assessment reports to the Associate Director, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Under the direction of the Associate Director, works on the implementation and execution of all strands of department’s marketing strategy, including SEO, social, paid/organic search, production of creative collateral & content. Provides data-driven analysis to help deliver profitable growth in enrollment, and creates reports on marketing campaign performance and web analytics as requested.

  • Works with the Associate Director and program staff on executing recruitment and sales strategies for key programs.

  • Develops & reports data metrics to monitor and gauge program progress, program-related deliverables and process. Prepares regular reports as requested for all programs, including but not limited to admissions and enrollment, using gathered data from multiple office systems.

  • Coordinates program delivery activities from registration to closing; actively manages classroom and other program spaces, provides customer service support to faculty and participants on-site and online. Manages all program logistics including material production, venue and space booking, media services, catering, transportation/travel, site visits, and any program-related activities.

  • Delivers off-site programs as necessary.

  • Serve as contact on assigned programs for faculty, participants, outside industry professionals, colleagues, students and vendors; principal source of information on department regulations and policies. Develops and maintains program records, assuring compliance with University requirements.

  • Assists the Associate Director in identifying new systems and leading the implementation of process redesign solutions where needed to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Serves as project manager during migration or updates of web, CRM tools, and other office systems.
