We are looking for a Sr Product Manager to lead product strategy for Dictation across all of Apple’s hardware ecosystem. You will partner with highly cross functional teams to develop vision, strategy and roadmap for one of the most heavily used system features. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you!
Key Qualifications
At minimum, we're looking for someone with:
8+ years experience in Product, Program or Project Management, or similar role leading cross-functional product or software engineering teams
5+ years experience bringing a product from concept to completion, ideally working on machine-learned systems, and/or sophisticated backend and front-end systems
Deep understanding of software development for machine-learned products and services, and how analytics and evaluation data can help improve those products
Self-sufficient in analyzing and drawing conclusions about the quality and product opportunity from raw and refined product data
Great product sense, skilled in translating between product goals, business goals into technical requirements
Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization
Highly developed capability to, directly and indirectly, lead large teams for success
Ability to align product roadmaps across large organizations while still being able to dive into the details when vital to drive key strategic product ideation
Strong sense of product design and user experience with the ability to balance core design principles with rapid iterations against product metrics
Description
As a Senior Product manager in the AIML PM team you will personally lead software product initiatives critical to the input experience for all Apple devices. Own roadmap and development of key future features. Coordinate all aspects of development including specifications, scope, requirements, and delivery. Partner with engineering and product leadership across Apple to align Siri’s product with Apple’s company wide strategy. Represent products with other corporate functions (marketing, product security, legal, etc.), run feature stabilization/convergence processes, and help prepare featured demos for Apple events.
Education & Experience
BS/MS/PhD EE/CS/CE or equivalent
Additional Requirements
M.S. or Ph.D. degree with a focus in machine learning, data mining or statistics
Prior PM or engineering experience in speech recognition, natural language understanding, search, data pipelines, and/or A/B testing
Experience using OKRs to drive product outcomes
Past programming experience within a workplace or academic environment a plus (Tableau, SQL, etc.)
