Kforce Business Analyst III in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Kforce has a client in search of a Business Analyst III in Cambridge, Massachusetts (MA).Essential Functions:

  • Elicit user requirements and translate them in to functional requirements

  • Work with the application development team to translate requirements into technical specifications

  • Recommend and drive prioritization of requirements

  • Assist in system testing

  • Work with end users to define test scenarios, plans and test scripts; Document all outputs

  • Create mock-up data scenarios or reports in partnership with IT developers and customers to meet user and functional requirements

  • Provide strong support during the build process, overseeing development to ensure the solutions are built and will meet/exceed the needs of the business

  • Assist in testing preparation and implementation of new application

  • Support development of training materials

  • Facilitate the UAT process, ensuring the business fully understands the capabilities and tests the complete solution and data supporting it; Assist users in acceptance testing, work with users and development teams on issues identification and resolution

  • Ensure business value is defined and can be measured post deployment

  • Contribute to the creation of operational support documentation

  • Co-own Change Management with business partners from a system use perspective; Identify and address business process touchpoints such as business continuity, data governance, data control, analytics and reporting

  • Complete other ad hoc tasks as requested

  • BS/MS Computer Science and Life Sciences or equivalent experience in a BA and technical capacity

  • 5 years of experience as a business analyst, with command of business analysis techniques & tools, as well as SDLC & iterative systems development methodologies

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact with business users, technical IT groups, project managers, outsourced service providers, and vendors

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; Able to organize and present ideas in a convincing and compelling manner to a variety of audience

  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment; Team player yet able to work independently with minimal direction

  • Must be self-motivated, team player, and well organized

  • Demonstrated successes in working with cross-functional resource teams

  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and/or tasks

  • Must be able to effectively communicate technical components of an initiative in both technical and business terms

  • Strong investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Life Sciences, Biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred; Pharmaceutical Research experience preferred, but not required

  • Knowledge of data management control and data governance concepts, data and information architecture, system landscape preferred
