CHIEF OFFICER FOR BUSINESS AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION, Executive Vice President and Treasurer (EVPT), to assume a strategic leadership position with responsibility for defining and evolving digital strategy in close collaboration with the VP for Information Systems and Technology. Will build and lead a team--Office of Business and Digital Transformation--that will collaborate with MIT’s schools, the college, DLCs (departments, laboratories, and centers), and administrative areas to advance business priorities through digital enablement; and lead efforts to optimize enterprise-wide processes, modernize business systems, and improve capabilities that will enable smooth delivery of administrative services. Responsibilities include implementing foundational systems, including the next-generation enterprise resource planning platform for MIT; identifying and redesigning priority business processes to fully leverage digital solutions; collaborating on developing a framework for evaluating service delivery models for MIT’s administrative functions and presenting opportunities to streamline processes and service delivery; and driving comprehensive improvements and performance commensurate with industry best practices.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related area; fifteen years’ relevant leadership experience managing multiple cross-functional teams/projects; comprehensive technical knowledge/skills; excellent problem-solving, organizational development, project and portfolio management, negotiation, consultative, and oral and written communication and presentation skills; strategic business planning experience that incorporates an enterprise’s vision and direction; demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch, and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget and to assess the scope and potential impact of an issue/opportunity; fiscal planning and management experience; ability to influence others and identify and mobilize employees to support continuous change improvement; ability to develop and manage employee, community, and vendor relationships in support of organizational strategies; and experience in decentralized and diverse business environments.
