In this strategic role you'll get to solve complex technical issues for our customers applying best practice solutions. You’ll act as a mentor to the wider team. Through proactively reviewing and mitigating risk, you’ll minimize any potential service disruptions for top global internet companies.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Working with internal cross functional teams to solve technical problems for our customers
Acting as a trusted technical advisor to our strategic customers
Solving technical problems, demonstrating Akamai’s value, and communicating clearly and effectively to both technical and business audiences
Managing support for Media, Web and Enterprise customers
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, another related field or its equivalent
Have some experience providing technical solutions and support
Have expereince with Linux/Unix-like operating systems
Be familiar with the Internet, including technologies and fundamental protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP and HTTP
Have knowledge of one or more web programming languages (Java, Python, Shell scripting)
Be an effective team player willing to collaborate with people across the business

Akamai offers competitive compensation packages which are dependent on the position offered, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
