CPU Silicon Timing Validation Engineer

Hardware
The ideal candidate should have good all round hardware and low-level software skills.
Strong understanding of CPU architecture
Excellent C and low level programming (ARM assembly highly desired, any other instruction set welcome) skills
Good understanding of VLSI design practice
Good understanding of firmware/device drivers
Grasp of structural test (ATPG, MBIST) methods is highly desirable
Lab experience (system, board or tester platform) desired
Excellent teamwork and communication. Ability to work with multiple teams in delivering a solution.
Description
Core Responsibilities: • Create and refine methodologies for isolating and debugging timing failures in system and on tester • Develop, modify and deploy tests on silicon as part of characterization plan • Maintain and enhance infrastructure for gathering silicon parametric data at rackscale • Work with partner teams e.g. DFT, physical implementation, logic design to debug issues and enhance methodology • Enhance existing silicon debug features and conceive of new ones.
Education & Experience
BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering is required.
