Job Information Inc Data Scientist in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The role:

We have lots of real data, with all its real attributes: dirty, unexplored, and rich. We are looking for a data scientist to be hands-on to augment our Predictive & Analytics team, as well as occasional support of Computer Vision and Data teams. We are combing customer data to summarize and derive insight from our existing product metrics and pioneer predictive solutions to improve the safety and quality of major construction projects. The data includes photos, videos, structured data, and even text where we are investigating NLP methods to extract context and features.

Who we?re looking for:

We are more interested in what you can do than what you have done. We are looking for contributions to design, evaluate, and compare predictive models in addition to defining practical statistical descriptions of vast datasets. Communication of complex topics is required to advise fellow scientists, business leaders, and even clients on the applied technical methods.

What you bring:

  • Background in applied statistical methods, which can include data analytics, data science, machine learning, predictive analytics (applied sciences also work with the right experience)

  • A desire to enable machine learning in an applied context

  • Experience with Python (Pandas /SciPy), Jupyter Notebooks, Julia, and SQL. Comfort in one or more of these is necessary.

  • Working knowledge in NLP, deep learning, AWS, and computer vision is a plus

  • Required experience: We are looking for the best that fits with our team, and will consider all education levels that demonstrate the right skills. The position is targeted for a seasoned Master?s level or young PhD researcher.
