Description: Vecna seeks an enthusiastic developer for our DevOps team with a strong technical background who is eager to see their code applied to real-world problems in health care. The selected candidate will know how to work as part of a self-organizing team, collaborating with other teams and technical leads to successfully deliver value to customers. You will have experience at many stages of the process of moving from basic requirements to deployed software. As a member of the DevOps team, you will work collaboratively with other developers and infrastructure engineers to accelerate our path to continuous delivery. This is a full-time, salaried role. Job ID: 331 Responsibilities: Write robust, maintainable code address problems and improve process around building and deploying software. Collaborate with other developers, product owners, QA engineers, and other stakeholders across all teams working on our software. Provide constructive input on peer reviews of code written by other engineers. Investigate, debug, and resolve build and test issues. Integrate code between branches and resolve merges. Work directly with the product owner on your team. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (math, science, or engineering) or equivalent additional experience. Cloud Infrastructure: Amazon Web Services (AWS): 2+ years working experience in production environment using wide range of services Experience with source control systems such as Subversion and Git. Continuous Integration: 2+ years working experience in using Jenkins for build and release management 3+ years of advanced Unix/Linux administration skills. CentOS, RHEL, or Ubuntu. Excellent troubleshooting skills in resolving application deployment and cloud infrastructure issues Good working experience in log management, monitoring and security vulnerabilities (New Relic, Sumologic) Experience with Agile development in Kanban/Scrum using Jira or similar tools Experience with Shell Scripting (bash, Python) Experience with Deployment Architectures (Terraform, Ansible, Vault, Consul) Basic understanding of relational databases including working knowledge of PostgreSQL.
